I have the set on DVD, and decided to pick this up at the same time as the TNG BR box set. What I have seen so far looks good, but they seem to be the theatrical releases, NOT the directors editions that were in the last DVD box set. Need to rewatch them side by side with the dvds to see what version they are. If they are director's editions, its a no brainer to get the set. If not, I'm temporarily stuck with the standard definition dvds. That would be sad. Recommendation to a friend is no, will change to yes if they are director's cut versions of the movies.

Great 2nd drive for a laptop CD bay

Putting together a media server from a laptop. Used a SSD in the main hard drive bay for fast booting and running the single app to stream media. Removed the optical drive, and replaced it with this 1TB Seagate laptop drive. This will hold many standard definition TV seasons ripped from DVD.

only 4 stars.... Not as good as Skyfall, but the real downer of the movie was a traditional bond villain reimaged and reintroduced as someone close to James.....
I don't like this trend in movies. This is what ruined the 2015 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me.

Will this work well in a USB 2.0 port? I would think it would need power with a USB 2.0 port.
Yes, it works with USB2, although at a slower transfer rate. Since this drive is a full size 3.5 inch desktop style drive, with a 12 volt power requirement it needs an external power supply which is included with the drive. No bus powered option unless you get the seagate 4TB portable 2.5 inch form factor drive.
