IT surprises with a great updated version of the story. All of the kids are great actors, the effects are awesome and the new Pennywise is terrifying in a whole new way. The 4K disc is good, not great. The image when outside during the day is bright and colorful and looks amazing. but in the dark the blacks can be a bit washed out instead of inky shadows. Still a great movie and a good disc that looks great in many moments.

This game is a new take on Mario with the angle of a strategy game. You control Mario and a band of three others that are trying to save the kingdom from an invasion of evil rabbids. You take your turns and the enemy takes their turns and then you move into overworld exploration mode. It is a cool new way to play in the Mario universe but it is a very simplified version of a strategy game. Recommended.

Nintendo has done it again. Somehow they can keep churning out Mario games with fresh new ideas and game ideas. New worlds to explore, new abilities and a ton of stuff to collect if you want to take the time to look around. The game controls great and is just such a fun change of pace from the drab games that have come out recently. For sure pick this up for older fans and new.

Zelda on the switch is amazing. You get the full sized game of the Breath of the Wild map in the palm of your hand and you can take it anywhere you go. If you like adventure games, exploring a huge world and the classic Zelda game style, for sure pick this game up.

Another entry in the Narnia franchise, this time helmed by a different studio though. The is a fine chapter in the Narnia series, but doesnt seem to quite reach the same heights as the first two entries. Recommend to fans of the books or movies as there is still enjoyment to be had here.

A great package held back by bad decisions.

Star Wars fans have been waiting for a great game since KOTOR over a decade ago. The wait continue as this game is only average at best. The story mode is short and sub-par, feeling like mission objective attached to multiplayer gameplay with a few cutscenes in bewteen telling a "Story" that really ends up not that interesting.
The multiplayer is where the game has the chance to shine, and gameplay and graphics wise it really impresses. But the experience is held back by the lootboxes and starcard mechanic that really overwhelms the experience. You can tell the game was designed to funnel players to purchase lootboxes and in game currency with real world money by how they give you an advantage over other players. Putting cool down timers on the offline modes so players have to wait hours to earn in game credits like a free to play mobile game is insulting after someone pays $60 for the full game.
Wait for this game to go on sale, or wait for a better Star Wars game that respects its fans and isn't made by EA.

Call of Duty the passed few years has lost what made it special a decade ago. The campaigns went to new worlds, added jet packs and future tech. The multiplayer had wall running and ground pound spike gloves. It just wasn't the COD that I fell in love with years ago. But COD WW2 bring is back to the basic run and gun feel and it is great.
The campaign covers months during the invasion to push the German lines back and is full of some really great set piece moments. There are some times in the story where you get a breather and the characters just chat instead of constant explosions and that is a nice addition to get to know the characters and the world around you. There is a great mission where you use espionage to sneak into a building and it was a nice change of pace as well.
If you want a more classic COD feel to multiplayer and also to go back and relieve some awesome moments from the COD WW2 days but now they look stunning in new graphics, for sure pick this game up!

If you are expecting an off road Burnout type of car game, this is not the game for you. It is more of a extreme off road sim game for hauling trucks and logs out in the wilderness. It is actually really fun and has coop up to 4 players to complete objectives on the map. You select your starting rig and add fuel tankers, or logging or off roading capibilities and then head out and explore the map. You find watchtowers that unlock your view on the map of what is around. Find new trucks and garages out in the wilderness. Use a winch to pull yourself out a river or deep mud. You can even winch onto a friends car and drag them out of a situation.
The maps get harder and harder with more extreme terrain and it almost becomes a puzzle to forge your way through the zones and complete the objective.
If you are interested in sims or off road trucking at all, check this game out, you may be surprised.
