Replacement for older fitbit

I bought this for my wife, as her older fitbit bracelet was becoming detached from the electronics module.
The design for this one is MUCH better in that the bracelet can be removed, so can be easily replaced when necessary.
One drawback that my wife is not happy with is that this one does not track the number of flights of stairs climbed. (That is why 4 rather than 5 stars) Other than that, my wife is happy with the replacement.

longer hoses, less stress

These were new hoses used to install a new washer. The 6 foot length was a step up from our older 4 foot hoses, in that we had more options on routing of the hoses, and the extra length meant we did not have to pull them tight like the older ones. This meant we were not stressing the fittings where the hoses connected to the washer and the supply valves.
Being stainless braid, they should also be much stronger than the older ones.

This washer does what its supposed to do.
Cycle time is much longer than our older washer, but uses less water.
The ability to pause to add additional items works, but if an item is added toward end of wash cycle, the washer does not add time, but proceeds to the rinse too soon, so we just let it soak for a while before continuing.

External DVD works as intended

I needed an external DVD drive to install onto a laptop that did not have its own drive. This one did the trick.
As a test, I also used the drive to write a DVD, and it worked as intended for this purpose as well.
My only complaint is the y-cable I needed to use to plug into two of my laptop's USB ports in order to provide sufficient power to the drive, else it would cycle on and off due to its high current draw.
A work around was to plug it into an external powered USB hub that provided sufficient current due to the hub's own power supply

I bought this for two reasons
1) it has the capability to supply sufficient current to run some of my older USB drives that would not be able to run directly from my laptop's USB ports thanks to its having its own power supply.
2) It is USB 3 so it can deal with the higher speeds of my new USB 3 drive.
I find that I can use it without its power supply if I am not using the higher current drives, but can plug it in when I need the higher current.
It works well for any USB device I have plugged into it.

Plug and Play - no muss, no fuss. Computer immediately recognized and was able to use the hard drive. It is USB 3 so I recommend using a Super Speed port on your PC, but it also works with older USB 2 ports. Just not as fast on the older ports.
Great for backups or simply to expand storage or to move files from one PC to another.
It comes with a program that allows you to back up your data in the background. You would not even know it is working until it tells you the backup is complete. I have it scheduled to backup every hour so my backup data is always current.

Any TV should have good video and audio. This one meets those standards. But the extras are what makes this a great buy.
It's smart TV features allowed easy WIFIconnection and supplies all the streaming features that obsolete my older streaming devices and their associated remotes. It has a button that brings up a row of icons allowing me to select a streaming source that includes all the usual ones Amazon, Netflix, etc. Its abitily to stream is also much better than my older ones, as it buffers faster, and does not have to pause in the middle of a movie to rebuffer.

An additional unexpected feature is that when I power on the TV, it automatically powers on my Sony surround sound system and links to it. Powering down is the same, as the power switch on the remote powers both off. This feature eliminates having to use yet another remote to deal with the surround sound system.
I recommend this for anyone who wants a smaller smart TV with great picture quality.

A fun movie experience that had a lot of older well know actors/actresses in it.
Provided an interesting view of India showing some of the cultural differences caused by the growth of high-tech.
Also showed the cultural clash of the older retirees and their expectations regarding their expectations and the reality of dealing with a new culture.
We enjoyed it and look forward to seeing its sequel.

Can you track your activities on a Samsung tablet and how do you do it?
If your tablet has bluetooth, then the answer is "Yes". Go to the google play store and download the fitbit app.
The fitbit comes with instructions on how to link it to a bluetooth enabled device. Follow the instructions after installing the app, and you will be all set.

Is it easy to play dvd's using Windows Media Player?
Are the control functions the same as if you were playing a dvd inside a laptop using Windows Media Player?
Yes, once you plug it in to a USB port (or ports) that supply sufficient power, it behaves the same way as an internal drive.

And also, what happens if I plug it in a windows XP and win 10 vice-versa ?
Works fine with several of my Windows 10 computers.
XP is problematic, as the XP operating system does not support the NTFS format of this drive.

XT uses FAT32 format.
This drive is NTFS format, so unless you want to reformat it, the answer is NO.
Also, bear in mind the size limitations of the FAT32. Reformatting it for that would be a waste of a lot of usable storage. you would be better off buying a smaller drive.

Is it good to use with macbook pro retina manufactured in early 2015?
It comes formatted for NtFS which is used for Windows machines, however I see no reason why you can't reformat it for an Apple OS.
It does come with an installer for Apple, so presumably you may not have to reformat it if your machine can read/write to the NTFS drive.

Yes. I move it between 4 different PCs for backup purposes.
You don't have to partition it to keep files separated, the backup system handles this quite well, and if you simply want to copy files to it from different PCs, all you have to do is create folders for each pc and use the appropriate folder when manually copying files to/from the drive.

Will this back up the OS and system files as well as data/photo files? Can it create a ghost (clone) image for recovery purposes?
Can it create a cloned image that will not be automatically replaced with updates (to keep an original version of one's computer for recovery purposes)?
It can be used to back up your entire system, but it does not come with the software to do it.
I use a 3rd party software that allows me to boot from CD, so I can make an image of the disk when NOT running Windows.

can i use the samsung keyboard with this tv? does it have bluetooth?
I have not personally used a keyboard, but the owner's manual claims to be able to connect to both a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
