This movie was a lot of fun to watch and had some really entertaining characters as well as a good plot. It had similarities to the American version like the male lead played basketball in both but it also had it's differences. An example of one of the differences was the fact that his best friend actually encouraged him in his singing and supported him with the singing contest.

Howls Moving Castle is another great anime film from Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is full of great characters and an entertaining plot. The relationship between Sophie and Howl is fun to watch develop as well as seeing how they develop as individual characters. Calcifer is also really fun and Billy Crystal does a great job voicing him.

This movie was pretty good. I have seen the cartoon version and loved that so I figured I should check out the movie as well. I think the movie does a good job of transforming some of the aspects of the series into live action however it does skip over a lot and only showed 1/4th of the series. I would have liked to see more of what happened. If you enjoy the storyline I would definitely recommend watching the animated series. The animated series does do a better job of telling more of the story and gives more character descriptions but this was enjoyable as well.

Overall I enjoyed this movie and thought it was well made with several interesting characters and a good plot. The animation was also really well done. My only complaint is that I felt that the ending could have been tied up more and it left me wanting a bit more or an epilogue for some of the characters.
