This game is more accessible than the Souls series, however, it is still challenging and expect to die and rethread common territory a lot. There does come a point when your character gets better and more powerful which makes it easier to get through a specific area only to then repeat the whole process in the next. This is definitely one of those games where you have to grind a little to get stronger and it cannot be rushed. While this may look like a God of War and or a Darksiders game it's definitely not that style of action/ slash gameplay its more methodically paced.
Who would have thought there'd ever come a time when desperately searching the environment for what little resources you can find to survive was your idea of relaxing? Dying Light has all the charms of a Techland title and this one allows you traverse an open world bog down with the undead at every turn. In this world, you struggle to scavenge all you can to survive against an array of zombies and yes even the living are a threat. The game does fall into the fetch quest arena, however, and the storyline is so-so but the game is overall fun to explore. If you played the first zombie game from Techland called Dead Island and liked it you will definitely enjoy playing this game has its a more refined version.

*NOTE: The price seems to have gone back up at one time this was $9.99. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was fun for half an hour as an adult but it quickly gets tiresome, however, my niece finds it a blast. This title is built around fast-moving hack-and-slash gameplay, letting players swap between its four main characters at will. From Michelangelo’s speed to Raphael’s brute strength, each turtle brings a unique set of skills to battle based on their personality. Players can evolve in power over time, gaining new levels, abilities and stat points, while mighty new weapons can be crafted back at the Turtle’s Lair from raw materials collected throughout the adventure.

If you tried this type of gameplay before in the Dark Souls series you know exactly what you're getting into. While the mechanics might be the same the game is definitely friendlier to the gamer and you actually feel like your getting somewhere without having to dump many hours of repeat gameplay like in Souls series. The overall experience feels more stream lined and easy to grasp. If your a huge fan of the Souls games this title might leave you wanting, however, if you found the Souls games cool but impenetrable Lords of the Fallen might just be your opportunity to get into the genre.
