Unfortunately, Apple chose to only add Touch ID and the gold color choice to this version of the iPad Mini with Retina Display. This really shouldn't be called a Mini 3, Mini 2.1 would be more appropriate.
If you don't have a Mini and want one then this is a solid choice, otherwise you will have to wait another year to see if Apple chooses to provide upgrades/updates which actually change the device.

The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
