This cover is great for users who want basic screen protection without adding much bulk. The quality feels a little cheap for the price, but it is an improvement over older covers. Note that this is exactly the same as the iPad air cover, but just rebranded online for the air 2. Don't be surprised if the box says iPad air and not iPad air 2.

The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

A large improvement over older iPads

Coming from a 3rd generation iPad, the iPad Air 2 is a big upgrade. The unit is significantly lighter and thinner, to the point where it feels closer to the iPad mini. The iPad Air 2 is also narrower than the older non-air models. For current iPad Air owners, the inclusion of touchID may be the best selling point, but that probably isn't worth the price of the upgrade. But for new owners or owners of non-air iPads, this is a good choice.
