Do you need a sound bar with this TV?

No, but it would definitely sound better than the tv's built in speakers. i use surround sound so i never have the tv's volume up/on

Is the connector box that all of the cables plug into included in the TV box or is it purchased separately? It does not say on the main info page that it is included in the box.

Yes....The OneConnect is included with the TV.
