I bought the blu-ray because it was a good price. I have seen the original movie & this one is supposed to be a sequel/reboot.
Overall I have so say that for the price, it is a good addition to any horror fans film collection. The movie is available on Netflix at the time of this writing.

Not your typical Zombie film

I rented this movie a couple of months ago on Google Play. I have only seen the trailer at this point & did not know what to expect.
After watching the film, I have to say I enjoyed it very much. It was a good departure from all the clichéd zombie movies out right now. Some people might find the movie slow & maybe even boring at times, just keep an open mind and you will enjoy this film.
Don't go into this movie expecting it to be Arnold vs the zombies, because it is not that type of film. It is mainly about a father & his daughter and the tough choices that have to be made given the situation that they are in.
I bought this blu-ray on release day 07/07/15 & recommend buying or at least renting this movie.

u was looking for a stand alone blu ray player to watch movies on so I did not have to use my PS3 & PS4 so much. After a little research, I decided on the Sony BDPS6500.
I wanted a good 3D player and this one is perfect. The dvd upscaling is great & the ability to upscale blu-ray to 4K means that when I do get a 4K tv, I will not have to buy another player.
I don't use the smart function of the player as all my streaming is done through my smart tv or PS3/PS4, but when I did play around with the offerings, the player was fast & I did not experince any problems.
I have had the player for over a month now & couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Yes... and upscales them to HD as well.

What type of glasses do I need to be able to watch 3d movies? I bought a few different 3d blue ray movies and also have bought 2 different pairs of glasses and still can't get it to work. Thanks
This depends on your tv. First you need to make sure your display is 3D capable. Next, you need to find out what kind of 3D is used on your display... Passive or Active Shutter.
Passive 3D does not require power for the glasses, it is just like the 3D you experience in the movie theatres. Active 3D requires powered glasses to view the 3D image.
The player just plays 3D movies, but you have to have a 3D ready tv also. This player automatically recognizes when a 3D movie is loaded.
