Nice packaging!!

I bought the original "Full Moon Edition" blu-ray release of the movie back in 2009. This release is the same exact "Full Moon Edition" but with steelbook packaging with icon artwork.
There is no reason to upgrade from the original blu-ray release unless you are like me, a sucker for steelbooks!! Plus they are at a great price right now. I got mine for $9.99.
Also buy the way, these new Universal "Iconic Art Series" steelbooks do not come with digital copies of the movies.

Mixed feelings on the packaging

This review is for the packaging, not the movie. The movie is a 5 star movie in my opinion.
These new slim "Magno" cases that are coming out look nice, but have some flaws that I would like to point out.
The material used is like a thin metal or aluminum. Fresh out of the shrink wrap, you can already see several scratches & scuffs all over the case artwork, inside & out.
The discs are held in place by a round disc shaped cutout and a small lip on the bottom of the cutout to stop the disc from slipping out. This lip can potentially cause scrapes when removing & replacing the disc over time. Also the disc makes contact on the metal case when placing the disc in its cutout space. I feel this will also cause scratches over time.
Overall, I think the design looks nice but some of the features are poorly thought out. I think Digibooks are better designed than these new "Magno" cases.

I have been waiting for a set like this. I owned all the movies on dvd, but this set is perfect to upgrade to High Definition.
All the movies are in one nice looking package plus the new movie "Origins" is included as well. You also get a digital HD version of all the movies with the UltraViolet code.
If you are on the fence, I recommend buying it.... You will not be disappointed.

The movie takes place right after the first one ends.
Expect the same action & intensity as the first one, but even better. The cinematography is more artful this time around making the movie feel epic.
I would recommend watching the first movie if you have not seen it already before jumping into this one.

I bought this movie for my wife & she loves it so much she has watched it several times already.
The "everything is awesome" song is so annoying now. LOL!!
It is a fun movie about not losing your creative imagination. I would recommend this movie to anyone young or old.

What type of glasses do I need to be able to watch 3d movies? I bought a few different 3d blue ray movies and also have bought 2 different pairs of glasses and still can't get it to work. Thanks
This depends on your tv. First you need to make sure your display is 3D capable. Next, you need to find out what kind of 3D is used on your display... Passive or Active Shutter.
Passive 3D does not require power for the glasses, it is just like the 3D you experience in the movie theatres. Active 3D requires powered glasses to view the 3D image.
The player just plays 3D movies, but you have to have a 3D ready tv also. This player automatically recognizes when a 3D movie is loaded.
