I love it. the only money you pay is if you want something beyond what it offers, such as HBO, or Netflix. You don't have to get those if you dont want to. There are plenty of cool free channels. how do I return? I've had for less then a year the tablet won't charge now :(
amazon is not a lot of help honestly. if you have the warranty, take it back to best buy and exchange it. if not, you might consider just replacing it. not worth the hassle otherwise

Does the USB power cable to plug into the TV come with the ROKU Stream stoic or does that have to purchased separately?
It comes with the streaming stick and you DO have to plug it into the USB port on your TV (hopefully you have one) to power the streaming stick

If I buy the protection plan with the Roku stick is it worth it? I'm tired of buying protection plans from places and then finding out that theirs a hidden agenda and they don't want to honor it. Thanks :)
I wouldn't. It's only $49 bucks. Why bother? There is really nothing on it to tear up, but if it does, just buy a new one.
