It's rare you get a good, if not GREAT, action film featuring a woman, thanks to A.Jolie and 'SALT', you get both. Strong supporting cast, including Liev Schreiber. Complex spy thriller, that allows for audience intelligence without sacrificing gunplay, or cerebral moments. Recommended: Director's Cut on DVD.

The Who: Before 'Pinball Wizard'

Lesser known among the Who's discography, 'A Quick One' is an early attempt by the band at 'rock opera', more likely a 'mock opera' as a group of songs are arranged to tell the musical equivalent of a 'short story' versus later album's 'Tommy' as a full-fledged novel. Upside: 'A Quick One' is easier to understand, while being simpler and shorter, much like a rock 'n roll song is. Downside: Not enough time to establish a foothold in iconography, which just may serve the finished work. Did anyone really understand the story of Tommy, or, did we just like the singles?

Re-release of Doom metal classic

"The Church Within" by the metal band Obsessed had originally been released in 1993 during the Seattle rock movement that had been dominating airwaves at the time. Lead by Scott "Wino" Weinrich of the band St. Vitus, the Obsessed were under-rated, overlooked, and shoved to the side by a music scene that Weinrich had played a part in influencing!

"Geto Boys - Greatest Hits" is an in-depth, perhaps over-long, compilation of the old school rap collective. Featuring Scarface, Bushwick Bill, Willie D, and - sporadically- Big Mike, the Geto Boys collection offers a lot, without much in the way of narrative, or chronology. Meaning, a big, tasty slab of music, with no real context, or overview of members, timeline, or understanding beyond the most basic of liner notes. INCREDIBLE collection of quality music, with little in the way of explanation.

While the Cure went on to bigger and better things, musically, if you were young in the 80s, then, this is the collection for you!

'The Soft Bulletin' by rock band the Flaming Lips was released during a lull in the band's career, post-'Transmissions from a Satellite Heart' success. While considered a critical and fan-success, the album hadn't been able to duplicate the sales of 'Transmissions'. An apparent concept album about the possible destruction of humanity after the sun approaches 'red giant' status before going supernova, the themes reflect environmental concerns as well apprehension about the long-term survival of planet earth.
