The funniest thing was that the cashier was jealous that I found this CD in the bin. She says she checks it every day and never saw it. And she is a throwback as a 20 something. Says her grandfather turned her on to these songs. I was impressed she listens to and buys CD's.

Great sound! (which I didn't believe from reviews)

I didn't think the player could make a difference, and I don't have the special connection for the superior sound, but it really does sound fuller! Just replaced my Sony (as so many others have said, because it died) and plugged it in.
I read the instruction book and recommend it, I noticed lots of things people reviewed as bad, that you can find in there. For instance I noticed the green light can be turned off. I don't think the Random takes as long as some complain about. All in all, I'm very happy and I listen to music a lot more now.
Just miss a couple of things from my Sony. No volume control on the remote! And it's very disconcerting to load the CD's. They don't go in 1 - 6. They can go two at a time, but not in order. Hard to know which one is in which slot. Same thing with taking them out. Buttons are not very intuitive on the unit. The "open" should be easy to get to as you use that and "disc skip" which is right under it, the most.
But definitely buy it if you have CD's. Now if Best Buy would just keep selling the CD's themselves I'd be happier!

I'm not ready to drop this one to see how it does, but I'm sure it will bounce. The only thing I don't like is that my battery compartment is covered and it now makes it hard to plug it up. It takes two hands and some "fanagling".

I sometimes have people over and put a song on to dance to. All I have to do is pick up one of my Grammy albums and it will have something great to dance to. I also can listen to it over and over as it is, or include it with other CD's I play on shuffle and know I'll enjoy all the songs when they play.
I like the fact that this year's has much fewer Rap songs. There's only one I need to skip on this album.
