Dr. Temperance Brennan, a.k.a Bones (Emily Deschanel tries to juggle the struggles of motherhood with the demands of career. After a series of bizarre events, the bond between Bones and her partner Special Agent Seely Booth is threatened when a cyber-genius points the finger at Bones as the prime suspect in a murder case.

After The Gravedigger and Jacob Broadsky (called "The Hand of God" in the sniper community), it might be considered difficult to come up with a truly believable antagonist for our intrepid friends, but the writers of "Bones" did it again: Christopher Pelant, the computer savant. His recurring appearances bring true fear and anxiety to the show - a triumph.
This set serves up all 23 episodes from the sixth season of the hit FOX series Bones, starring Emily Descanel as a forensic specialist and David Boreanaz as her FBI agent partner and possible love interest.

Season Five ended with the members of the team scattering around the world but Season Six does right by the viewer by bringing them back to continue this outstanding show. Complications ensue when Booth returns from Afghanistan with a girlfriend, The Gravedigger story comes to a climax, we lose a squint and and a central character finds a new nemesis. Possibly my favorite season so far!
The fifth season of Bones finds forensic whiz Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Special Agent Booth (David Boreanaz) tackling more complex cases, and continuing to build the sexual tension between them. This set contains every episode from that season.

I love this series - the variety of situations and circumstances they need to deal with as they apply their genius to solving crimes while dealing with love, The Gravedigger and the intern of the month.
The crime drama's fourth season begins with Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschane) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) lecturing to their respective peers in London, but their trip is extended after they're drawn into the murder of a wealthy American's daughter. Other investigations spin around the slayings of a reality-TV host, a veterinarian, a pastor, a sculptor, a former Marine, conjoined twins, an ice-hockey player and a bride-to-be. Cycle 4 also features the return of the Grave Digger, a sepulchral serial killer who may be targeting Booth.

Season Four of "Bones" continues the adventures of the trusty employees of the Smithsonian as Bones and Booth go to the UK and China, find justice for a transsexual minister, consult with Stewie Griffin of the animated series "Family Guy" and struggle to defeat and capture The Gravedigger again. More of one of the most entertaining shows on network TV!

The third season of this excellent show was marred by a writers' strike which resulted in a ten-month hiatus (that unfortunately is now SyFy standard treatment of their series) in the middle of the series. That gap which led to the season being issued in two DVD sets (3.0 and 3.5) instead of one is the main reason I give my lowest rating to these two sets (plus that one of my favorite characters is mostly absent doing time). Otherwise, still more quirky, edge-of-the-knife events keep the Sheriff busy and the viewers entertained.
This two disc release from the quirky series Eureka offers all 10 episodes of the show's 3.5's season, following the fantastical adventures of Carter, a sheriff in a town where strange happenings are totally normal.

The second half of an otherwise excellent season..

As I noted in my review of Season 3, a writers' strike forced a ten-month gap in the middle of this season, resulting in the issuance of two DVD sets for the single season - the only reason I give such a low rating for a series that still entertains. The death of a series regular continues to haunt and the chemistry between the Sheriff and Allison (which I LOVED) seems to be put on hold. But hang on...!
This set contains every episode from the second season of Eureka, a sci-fi series about a put-upon sheriff (Colin Ferguson) of a town inhabited by the best scientists in the world who are constantly creating gadgets to help the government and the military.

The second season of "Eureka" picked up where the first, which ended tragically when Henry (Joe Morton) lost his true love, left off. We find there are continuing repercussions, but that doesn't stop the series continuing with its trademark absurd (and occasionally deadly) mishaps where brains override common sense with a little skullduggery thrown in. Still my favorite series!

As uneven as the Sci-Fi (now SyFy) Channel's programming can be, they sure know how to create scripted shows. The best way to describe "Eureka" is "quirky" - and that is a major compliment. The characters, the plots, the absurd, yet entertaining situations make for wonderful family-friendly entertainment. And I laughed and (not quite) cried, which is saying they manage to touch the high and low points of what is best classified as a sci-fi comedy.

As a relatively new "Bones" fan, I've been at the mercy of the order the shows appear in syndication so, though I love the series and have watched a LOT of episodes, including following the first-run ones, I hadn't developed a clear picture of the evolution of the characters over the course of the series. So I took advantage of a Best Buy sale to buy the first seven seasons together and don't regret a thing.
Great show, excellent performances, outstanding chemistry among the actors. New boy (almost literally) John Francis Daley as Dr. Lance Sweets was an excellent addition to the cast. The Gormogon story arc added a bit of danger to the show; Angela's season two discovery of her still-active marriage to the otherworldly beauty of Grayson Barasa complicates this season as does as Bones' forays into relationships with other men.
What's great about it: Cast chemistry, "squint" turnover, intelligent plotting

Great show, excellent performances, outstanding chemistry among the actors. The introduction of Tamara Taylor as the new head of the Smithsonian forensics group, Camille Saroyan, shakes things up just enough to make things even more interesting.
