Motorstorm is a top PS3 title!

This game is 100% pure adreneline. The races are absolute mayhem, and each environment is beautifully detailed. The controls are easy to get used to, and the online races are a ton of fun.
But sadly, they ditched one of my favorite things about racing titles, 2-player split screen. Nothing is more fun than beating your best friend in a race, and I wish they would have made it available. Tracks and vehicles are limited, but they have added some new downloadable content on the PS network, which helps. Also, each track is completely different depending on what type of vehicle you choose, so that also keeps the game from getting too old too quickly.
If you like racing games, pick this one up. But the only way your friends will get to play against you is if you send them home to play online.
What's great about it: Visually stunning, addictive gameplay, fun online experience
What's not so great: No 2-player split screen, limited tracks/vehicles
I would recommend this to a friend!

My main beef with EA sports titles? They create a new one every year. While each game is somewhat better than the last, this cookie-cutter approach to gaming is leaving a lot to be desired.
I used to purchase the new Tiger Woods game every year. I don't have 2008. I probably won't get 2009. EA cranks these out so fast that they always end up feeling like the last one. Granted, this was the first to hit the PS3, but the game gave me feelings of deja vu. Furthermore, winning all the challenges and getting 100% completion will take you far too long, and I just don't have the patience. Playing this franchise now seems more like a chore, and less like fun. I'll be waiting a few years to buy an updated version of this franchise, and hopefully EA will have thought of some new features to keep me interested.
What's great about it: Great graphics, familiar gameplay
What's not so great: Not enough newness, just not fun anymore

Heavenly Sword Sets The Standard

My favorite thing about this game has got to be the amazing graphics. The acting is superb, and for once, a game has been created using motion-capture over the entire faces of the actors. That means that real facial expressions of the actors are seen in the game. Too many game artists have failed at recreating human emotion in characters' faces.
Also a plus, the story for Heavenly Sword is very-well written. In the past, games were developed and stories for them written later. Here, the story has taken precedence, and it is an epic story, too.
The sixaxis controls have been used better in this game than any other PS3 game I have played. My only beef with Heavenly Sword is that it was too short. But this game is fun to play over and over, thanks mostly due to the amazing cinematic feel. I would recommend this game to any PS3 owner.
What's great about it: Beautiful graphics, engaging storyline, addictive gameplay
What's not so great: Short game

Still one of PS3's best titles

I purchased Resistance: Fall of Man with my PS3, and I still play it regularly! The online experience is second to none on the PS3, and the controls are easy to get used to. The graphics are absolutely stunning in HD. My only quarrel with the game is the same that I have with most first-person shooters--the only objective is to kill your enemies. But with such an engaging game as this one, the fact that there aren't more objectives is a really minor issue. If you own a PS3 and don't have this title, you are seriously missing out!
What's great about it: Excellent Graphics, great gameplay, addictive online experience
What's not so great: Extremely linear, only one objective

The empire of Tamriel is on the verge of total collapse. The Emperor is dead. Desperate factions, mad with the scent of power wafting up their noses, compete for control of the throne. To make matters worse, the gates of Oblivion have opened and vicious demons are laying waste to the land. The tide of darkness must be turned. The solidarity of the empire must be restored. Are you ready to save Tamriel? The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion continues the exciting role playing series. You will live another life in another world, choosing from a huge number of playable characters, from a sinister assassin to a wise sorcerer. An all-new combat and magic system hammers gameplay to a new level, letting you feel the ground you walk upon and the sting of every blow in combat. Stunning graphics capture the wonder of the setting, complete with bustling towns, dark dungeons and so much more. Realistic nonplayer characters fill out the world, going about their daily routines and even engaging in unscripted conversations. Shorter challenges, such as fighting bandits and creating magical spells, will arise throughout your adventure, making this quest a rich and exhilarating gameplay experience.

An Excellent RPG

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is perhaps one of the best RPGs I have ever played. The graphics are far superior to anything else out there, and in 1080p on the playstation 3, the picture is stunning.
The world of Tamriel has a life of its own. The intricate storylines are plentiful and engaging. I played the game for 200+ hours, and my complaints are few:
Repetitive voiceovers: It would seem that the thousands of people living in Tamriel are voiced by only a handful of actors. I'll forgive this annoyance only because I don't have to read all the dialogue, like most RPGs.
Repetitive environments: Visually, the world is stunning, but after awhile, mines, caves, and caverns all start to look as though I've been there before.
Technical Glitches: Every so often, the screen would freeze, and the only remedy was to shut off the game. Also, sometimes backgrounds/enemies don't load soon enough and "pop" up right in front of you.
But until a next-gen Final Fantasy is released, this is the best RPG out there.
