The 2004 TNT miniseries Salem's Lot comes to DVD in a movie-only version from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film is presented in its original 1.78:1 aspect ratio complete with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. The colors are rich and deep with vibrant hues that make the picture come to life, while the audio does a fine job of creating a full audio playground for the creepy sounds effects to play in. No extras have been included, though the disc sports a whopping 51 chapters for the 181-minute film.

There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, making it difficult to recommend this Disney/Buena Vista release to anyone who is not already a fan of the film. There is little here to interest the average DVD consumer.
