Is it cheaper to print in black or color?
I have a c310a hp printer and I buy 564xl ink for it as it seems more economical. My question is:
Is it cheaper to use colored ink or print out using black ink?

Black is cheaper. Color uses more ink from all 3 color cartridges as opposed to 1 cartridge.

Can you use HP 564 cartridge in HP photosmart plus printers?
Can you use a HP 564 cartridge in HP photosmart plus? I ordered the 564 and it is too narrow. The tag that came with the machine said to order replacement 564/564XL cartridges, I thought both would fit, but as I said, the 564 was too narrow. Should I just order the 564XL for both black and color?
Both should fit. You just need to line it up better. The XL are only good if you print at least once a week, they tend to dry up otherwise and cause problems for your printer.

What is the difference between a 564XL Photo Ink cartridge and a regular 564XL Black cartridge?
You cannot cross the 2 cartridges in your printer. Its just a way for you to have to buy more Ink Cartridges for your printer.

how much more ink does the XL have vs. the regular black ink cartridge?
The Geek Squad at my BB says they have 2.5 as opposed to 1 of the amount of ink in each one.
