This bluray is excellent as well - clean, crisp bluray transfer. Now just wish they'd come out with the 4K version!

The quality of the bluray is average, maybe even a bit below average. Picture is not as clear as other blurays for which they've taken the time for a decent transfer - e.g. Star Wars.

OK 4K for the price

I suppose its best to say, "You get what you pay for."
I got this TV to compare it to a Vizio E43U-D2. The Vizio had better picture quality.
While the Hisense supposedly has HDR support, I couldn't really see a difference. rtings.com suggests the same - the quality of this particular set is inferior to other UHD TVs. However, this is one of the cheaper ones, so you get what you pay for.

One of the best UHD players on the market

You'll find this player mentioned in quite a few UHD posts on the internet. It's one of the players many use to test UHD functionality on other devices. The second HDMI out port is great for using receivers that don't support 4K video.
Despite what several reviews have said, video from this player looks a bit better than an Xbox One S, as you might expect.
