Jurassic World 3D is a fun, exciting adventure ride. The characters are not as distinctive as in the original Jurassic Park, but who watches a movie like this for character development. It's all about the adventure and thrills, and Jurassic World delivers. The 3D is also very well done.

Rubber sharks are scarier than CGI sharks!

The shark may be a 40 year old rubber phony, but this is still a fun, exciting movie, thanks to great performances from the 3 stars and brilliant direction from Steven Spielberg in his first big theatrical hit. Forget the increasingly lame sequels.

Better than expected

This has gotten so many negative comments online that I expected a very bad movie. To my surprise, I enjoyed it a lot! While it doesn't have much to do with the real myths of Hercules, it is still an exciting adventure story, filled with big, CGI, green screen action and effects. Pretty good 3D, too.

Inferior in almost every way to the earlier Conan with Arnold Schwarzenegger. While not boring, it never once captured my imagination, and I kept thinking how much I missed Basil Poledouris' music. Well produced on an elaborate scale, with some good 3D effects, but a lame remake. I'm glad I got it on sale.

Gog is a dated, but enjoyable, early 1950's sci-fi murder mystery. People are dying in accidents at a top secret, underground government research facility. Agent Richard Egan is sent to investigate. Scientific wonders of the 50s no longer impress, but the careful, low budget production, and excellent 3D photography still do.

Beautiful Blu-Ray

David Lynch's Dune has been a favorite of mine since its release more than 30 years ago. The Blu-Ray disc is a great upgrade from the DVD. The big budget now glows on the screen with the best view ever of the elaborate and beautifully designed sets and costumes. The extra features, which were not on my DVD, are a great bonus. There are features on the design of the sets and costumes, as well as filming of the special effects and miniatures, which were impressively state of the art in their day. Very happy with my purchase.

What some people won't do to be in a movie. Watch the cast getting chased around their house in the (supposed) African bush by a large group of lions and other wild animals - for real! No animals were injured but many of the cast and crew were. I've never seen anything like it before.

This is a New York, not Asian, martial arts flick from 1985. The young, innocent hero is searching for a new master to teach him 'the glow'. He's confronted by the Shogun of Harlem,a cartoonish villain with a gang of crazy followers. Filled with 80s, music, clothes and hair. Not a great classic, but a lot of fun.

San Andreas is exactly what you'd expect it to be - a big, loud, thrilling special effects extravaganza. And in 3D the effects are even better! Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino are the cliched divorcing couple who reunite trying to rescue their child. Their performances are good enough to almost forget you've seen the same character relationship in many other disaster movies. Recommended, especially in 3D.
