Wow. A great movie, a new classic. Di Caprio won a well deserved Oscar for this. But Tom Hardy should have gotten an Oscar too (the one he was nominated for). Unforgettable film. Graphically violent and painful to watch in some scenes.

Poor script, poor acting, you won't care for the characters (you won't even remember their names at the end of it), the director uses too much "shaki-cam", etc. All I remember are the locations.

Cool Bullitt, cool McQueen

In 1968, who was cooler, Clint Eastwood or Steve McQueen? This is a very good cop thriller shot in and around San Francisco. The car chase (Mustang vs. Challenger) is a classic. Very entertaining and suspenseful movie. McQueen gives us another of his really cool characters. Plus, you get an excellent documentary on film editing, in HD.

If you are an 80's junkie, maybe you'll like this movie. The clothes and haircuts are dated. The music and vampire make-up are dated. The whole film is dated. Too much comic relief does not work. Not enough action. Not scary at all. You'll be better off watching any episode of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER or ANGEL.

When I saw this film, I was reminded of SCARFACE, THE UNTOUCHABLES and L.A. CONFIDENTIAL. Though not a great film as those three (it wants to be like those, but can't reach them), it still holds your attention. And if you like gangster stories from the 30's, you'll love it. Just love all those tommy gun shootouts.

This is one fun & stylish action movie. If you liked OCEAN'S ELEVEN and THE MAN FROM U.NC.L.E., you get the idea. Two actors steal the show: John Malkovich with his insanity and Helen Mirren with her machine guns. The only drawback (not from the movie) is that the disc's audio is not lossless.

Exciting 90's Action Flick

Nicely done action flick, with lots of surfing and skydiving scenes. Executive produced by James Cameron and directed by his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow. A trip back to the early 90s with a young Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze (and of course, Gary Busey). The film keeps a good pace and there is good chemistry between the actors / characters.
