If you've read some of the reviews online, the 2 biggest complaints about the switch (and rightly so) are:
1. The left joycon sometimes disconnects leaving the thumb stick to work a little bit weird.
2. when putting it into and taking it out of the charging/tv dock the screen gets scratched.

A screen protector is a cheap way to deal with #2. Still waiting on some official word from Nintendo on how to fix #1 (for now my answer is a pro-controller if I need the thumbstick, or to play it in handheld mode).
