I got the gray unit, the neon editions are hard to come by but it doesn't matter it's what's inside that counts (-;.
I've played some games on it before, I'm so happy you can detach the controllers from the sides and play multiplayer games. I think it's my favorite Nintendo console second to the Gameboy advance SP.
Now as for my cons-
Build quality should be better
-the screen itself is made of plastic and not guerilla glass you'd expect from modern electronics, so get a tempered glass screen protector ASAP.

the hinges that the joycons side into the tablet segment of the switch seem to not hold the joycons as snug as I'd like.
The back of the tablet is painted and could be prone to scratches, I've read certain sticker skins also scuff the paint.
WiFi isn't that great.
The dock itself gets pretty hot when the switch is mounted. I suggest some airflow directed to the unit.
Overall I had to have a switch even with it's shortcomings. Nintendo never disappoints with games, but if you can wait a year they'll undoubtedly release a revised switch unit with all the above cons remedied!
Buy one if you're planning on getting damage protection for it. But as far as a console for children beware of potential dings you could find yourself with.
