Great Collection For a Price

I purchased this set for an outstanding sale price of $14.99 in October of 2013. My favorites in the series are The Omen and The Omen II. Others have commented on the cheese factor of these films, but personally I consider the orignal Omen a classic as well as scary from beginning to end. Ones appreciation will be age dependent in my opinion. The biggest downside to this collection is the packaging. Discs are attached to rubber nubs rather than standard disc hubs.

A Surprisingly Good Re-Make

This is a re-make of a favorite film of mine which appeared on television in 1973 and starred Kim Darby. I haven't seen it in years but I can still hear the voices. This film captures the flavor of the original film very well, embellishes, and improves upon in many respects. I won't go into too much detail as to ruin your experience which for me was very enjoyable. Blu-ray presentation is excellent.

A Stephen King Film Done Right

Stephen King writes amazing stories but unfortunately they usually do not translate well to film. This is one that does and very well. Each character is memorable and will stay with you long after the movie ends. There are no scary Clowns, Monsters, or Dead Pets in this one, just very scary people who could make the Clown from It cringe. Add this worthy Digibook to your Blu-ray library immediately.

An Unexpected Joy

I thought nothing could match the original Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but I am glad to say I was wrong. Loved this film from start to finish. I purchased the original Theatrical Release and then purchased this Extended Edition on day one of it's release. If you enjoy Special Features this is the version for you as it contains 9 hrs plus of Special Features. If you're really a fan, you should also purchase the Theatric Version for it's Video Blogs. Blu-ray quality for both video and audio are excellent ... as expected.

What's not so great: I wish it was longer, yes I said longer ....

One of Francis Ford Coppola's FInest

The Steelbook packaging itself very attractive with inside artwork and also on the back of the case itself, not pictured. Not much to say about the film, you'll love it or hate it. As I've gotten older, I have moved into the Love-it camp, After purchasing this I bought The Full Disclosure Edition which includes 3 Blu-rays and the Feature Length Making-of Documentary "Heart of Darkness". For the casual fan this Steelbook will make an excellent edition to your Blu-ray collection.

An Excellent Follow-up to The Da Vinci Code

Sony 4K release is a definite upgrade from the previous blu-ray and well worth the price. No special 4K Television required to appreciate it's improvements in video quality. There are no extras or special features on this blu-ray as all of the disc is devoted to giving you the best video possible. This a very engaging film you must pay attention to otherwise you'll be using the rewing button frequently.

You'll Believe a Man Can Fly

An outstanding film although I would have changed to two parts of the film. I will not go into the details so I will not spoil it for you. 5 Star Video and the audio will make your house shake if you have a Home Theater setup. I enjoyed this even more the second time around.

One of Spielberg's Most Important Films

An important film which every one should see at least once. Not recommened for younger children. The blu-ray shines even in black and white exhibits amazing detail. I'm embarassed to say this is the first time I've seen this incredibly true film.
