So far, our Ooma is working great and sound quality is good. However, our number port is not complete yet, so I don't know if that will have any effect on performance. I would have had trouble hooking it up, but thankfully, more technically gifted people in my family took care of that for me. Shop around, there are deals out there, you don't have to pay retail price.
What's great about it: You won't have any more phone bills.
What's not so great: Technically challenged people may need help hooking it up.
I would recommend this to a friend!
