I heard the reviews and opted to wait before pulling the trigger and buying this game. The single player campaign was better than I was expecting, with a somewhat predictable ending. I was disappointed that there is no offline option to fly the starships other than in prescribed levels of the single player campaign.
I'm not really into mulitplayer online gaming, but I was also disappointed that I hadn't noticed one major complaint people had was that Sony was requiring PS Plus memberships to play online. I believe this is related to a hack a couple of years ago.

Easy setup, great sound

Easily paired these with my Galaxy S7 edge, my MBP, and an iPod.
Sound quality is excellent, but you should be aware that as they are Beats that there is an emphasis on bass however it does a decent job of balancing that out.
Controls are simple but it would be nice to be able to see what the battery life is exactly. It does charge fairly quickly and holds the charge for quite a while.
Got these on sale for under $100 and it was a great purchase, I recommend them.

Decent Sound Bar

The sound bar and subwoofer were bought to offset the sad speakers that typically come with TVs nowadays. Didn't want or need a surround sound system, just something simple to improve overall sound quality.
To that end, I'm satisfied with this purchased. Sound quality is significantly better than TV speakers but doesn't have the quality of a 5.1 or 7.1 system, but again I wasn't looking for that.
The android app is a bit lacking in ability to make adjustments but overall I'm satisfied, especially at the price I paid.

Should the tv speakers be turned off or disabled? Would this provide better sound?
Yes, you are doing yourself a disservice having sound come through the bar and the TV.

What does the open-box price mean?
This means that it was previously purchased but returned. Ideally BB gave it a once over to confirm it works and has all of its parts. Because it was previously owned, they offer it at a slightly discounted price because the box was opened - hence the term "open-box price."

How do I determine whether to purchase a 2.1, 3.1, 4.1., etc., soundbar? My TV is a Samsung 55" about 2 years old.
It depends on what you're looking for in terms of sound quality, how big the room is, and probably most important, the size of your budget. To have an immersive experience you would need the sound sound system or a high end sound bar. More speakers typically means better clarity, thus a better listening experience.
If you didn't know, in a typical set up:
2.1 includes a subwoofer and 2 front speakers
3.1 includes a subwoofer, 2 front speakers and a center speaker
5.1 includes a subwoofer, 2 front speakers, a center speaker, and 2 rear speakers
To get more bang for your buck, you could get an "older" 5.1 or 7.1 setup for the price of some new 3.1-5.1 setups.
