Great Starter

I believe that Christian Bale has become my favorite Batman. I already owned The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises and have enjoyed them over and over using them to show off Surround Sound at it's best. Each of those would receive 5 stars. When I saw this movie on sale I figured why not complete the set and go back to the first of his movies. I fully enjoyed it this time around and watched the evolution of Batman from a child. Well acted and looks and sounds great. I'm glad I got it.

Does the Job...at a Lower Cost

Our last keyboard was a wireless Logitech with keys that lit up in the dark. Issue after issue with wireless. Eventually led to inability to use the keyboard ($80.00 purchase). Back to a USB plug and deal with a wire. It's great to be back.

I always like a good Bond Movie. I miss Sean Connery (showing my age) but Daniel Craig makes a good Bond...maybe my second favorite. This movie had the elements you expect in a Bond movie...but lack those extra wows that are nice to have.

Good War Movie

I grew up in the 50's and 60's watching WWII movies. At the time Platoon came out I looked down upon this film as purely anti-Vietnam. However, now I like it considerably more. The experience of Vietnam was a painful time. This movie helps you better understand what the American soldier went through and the 'grays ' of war as opposed to simply the black and white. You really sympathize with the Charlie Sheen character who, in essence, is Oliver Stone. Acting is superb throughout.

What's great about it: Oliver Stone's experiences with artistic license.

What's not so great: Made in the Anti-Vietnam spirit.
