Great improvement from the gear fit2

We bought this two take the place of my wife's Gear Fit 2. This is exactly what she wanted in a fitness device. Looks more like an everyday watch then the clunky fitness trackers and has tons of cool things that the others just won't do. She is very happy with this purchase. The biggest think she likes is not having to wear a chest strap heart rate monitor when she's doing Simple daily things to get a more accurate calorie count. She even prefers this over a G@*×!n as it is not as bulky and looks a lot more feminine.

It is a really cool device that does more than the average bear. You can actually Place calls from it in Bluetooth mode and it is its own speaker and microphone device. Kind of makes you feel like Inspector Gadget. The GPS tracking is really cool, and we'll be even better with the addition of some of the fitness tracking apps. I thought it was cool that it automatically knew I was riding my bike and begin to track in addition to my own bike computer. I like that you can change the watch faces for different outfits and events. The heart rate is fairly accurate, good enough for the average person who just doesn't want to wear a chest strap. All and all you can't go wrong with this device it would do most anything you needed to do. I do wish however that it was able to be worn while swimming. So on that front if you are a triathlete wanting to train you may want to stick with a different brand, the one that starts with a g.

Great gadget

This was a gift for my wife to replace another brand device that was for serious athletes. This is a much more general and user friendly device. She really likes the features, especially now that there are more widgets available for it. He only complaint isthat the band can easily become undone @ the device. If you push open a door for instance with an arm full of groceries, you might dislodge the strap. The clap is ok, but could also do a better job. Other than that she finds it easy to use and vary familiar navigation style for ambrose users. This will work for beginners and intermediate athletes. If your super active and training for an IM you might want the other brand *G* device. NO HEARTRATE STRAP NEEDED! This was a must for her. It seems pretty accurate.

For serious athletes

This was a gift for my wife. It does everything! First the bad, her main complaint is the size, The HR sensor protruding as much as it does made it uncomfortable at times. Lastly the auto dimming feature made it hard to see at night, when she was doing her walking. Other than that it is freaking awesome. Garmin did their homework. It will overload you with dada you didn't know that you wanted to know. Auto adjust goals to motivate you to the next step. If you are a setious athleat that wants a tracker, that doesn't look like a kids watch, this is for you. Due to her complaints we are returning it for a more basic & female friendly (smaller & curved) device. I would give it 5 stars but her concerns are valid for the deduction.

I bought this to augment the sound on an older TV set that was moved to my man cave. For some reason it required me to adjust the audio settings on my television every time I went to use it with the optical cable. It was just very inconvenient and for some reason my TV would not hold that setting so I had to redo it every time. I ended up returning this for a different product

Can you connect to Garmin Speed and Cadence Sensors for bikers?
I think i read that you can. I know it has a cycling mode. My wife doesn't ride so im not sure. I'd check out Garmin's site.
