I love these - I have my whole house covered (3 levels) with one of these on each level; one master, one wired to it and the third over via wireless bridge. Set up and controls are easy via the airport app. Stock up on these before Apple stops making them anymore. Ironic, since others like Netgear are now copying the form factor and simplicity of bridging.

Got a great deal on an open box - but installation was a nightmare! Local Best Buy was very helpful in dealing with the 3rd party installer. Once it was installed, we were very pleased with the product - you can't tell it's on (since it's so quiet) without that red light! Make sure you measure EVERYTHING in the counter opening - including unevenness of the floor (if you have tiles).

Perfect for our basement!

I chose this prior year model over the updated FFAD7033R1 model primarily because of the garden hose connection on this model (FAD704DWD). My old LG dehumidifier would not drain properly because of the kind of connection employed in the FFAD7033R1 model and would fill up the bucket every day! I hooked up the FAD704DWD last week - within 3 days the humidity level in my basement was down to 35% and not a single drop in the bucket! Very happy with my purchase!

Is there an indicator light that signifies the dishes are clean? Does the indicator light stay on until it is manually cleared, or does it turn off when the door is opened?

We have has ours for a month or so and it still has a strong plastic smell when you open it. We only do a couple of loads a week so it does not have a lot of use. How long does it take for this strong smell go away?
