Best value SLR for a beginner photographer

I originally bought this as a bundle with the 50 and 300 zoom lens but later exchanged it for an SL1 basically due to the smaller size of the SL1 that my wife preferred (it was a gift for her anyway) Both cameras rate almost equally well in reviews so I rated this as well as our SL1 which we like a lot. Before selecting a camera there are tons of professional reviewers out there that can explain advantages of one camera vs. another. Best buy honored the price drop during black Friday on my purchase and refunded me some money back, what else can someone ask besides the 18 month interest free financing?

Therefore it is a win-win for less than $10 if you buy the memory card and another accessory for 25% off typical discount Best Buy offers. Highly recommended before you put a scratch on your expensive lenses.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. The smallest camera of the SLR's out there but fully featured. Easy to use and takes great/fast pictures in the dark with it's high ISO capability. Strongly recommend it to starting photographer and definitely for a woman with small hands. I chose the bundle with the 300 zoom so we can photograph our kids playing sports etc.
