I bought this for my wife when her Lifeproof Fre self destructed from normal use. When I tried to deal with their customer service about the warranty they claim to have it was nothing but a headache and the most miserable and miserly company I've dealt with in years. With that off my chest this new Modal unit is VERY good looking and has a silicone layer that is very grippy to prevent accidental drops. Granted this is not water or drop proof but my wife is easy on her gear and the cumbersome and expensive Lifeproof stuff is overkill for her. This is just about perfect for her needs and if it fails (which I doubt it will) replacement will not be nearly as painful as her other case.

I bought the Harman Kardon Onyx 2 to take over for a cheap, tinny sounding BT speaker. I'm very pleased with this unit. For such a small package it has tons of range and a good, solid, and pure sounding bass. In fact, throughout it's range it sounds pure and unstrained in delivering sound. If you want your bass thumpy and your highs screechy and over-cooked this probably isn't the speaker for you. For a small speaker it seems to deliver sound the way the sound was recorded. That must be from the solid design (though the legs probably wont take lightly to abuse) and the fine, broad array of speakers and crossovers. Luckily, I found this on sale at a great price which made it all the better.
If I have suggestions for the next in the Onyx series it would be a battery life indicator, a charging progress indicator and the control button descriptions printed on the front where they are easily seen. None of this is a game stopper, just little things that would make it a bit friendlier to use.

Luckily a member of the Best Buy Magnolia team steered me toward this unit. It's jam-packed with features that I'm just now learning to appreciate. Set up was easy and when stumped the customer service people at Pioneer were very helpful.
The only thing lacking was a manual. That is just a file which I have to pick and chose which pages to print but other than that it's a five star purchase.

The Geeks at Best Buy Northlake (Charlotte) do it right. I lucked into being helped by Melanie quite a while ago. She makes dealing with the items I've bought at BB worry free. She hooked me up with Jesse James to have my car receiver installed. William (His real name) went over everything I needed to make sure I was happy then installed everything very quickly then went over the features of the new radio+. Best Buy, even as big as they are, should always remember to value and do what they can for their good employees. I have a brand new carpet that is very plush and thick. I cannot use my old vacuum cleaner with a power bar. Looking for a new vacuum with no power beater. Wpuld I be food with this one?? If not please suggest something
We also have new, plush rugs and to be honest, it seems the newer rugs and carpeting have all sorts of loose fibers I didn’t know about until using the V8 on them. The first few times vacuuming them I had to empty the thing a lot. It’s powerful suction picked up a lot of fibers which I expect is good... less dust further down the road.
I’m not sure what you mean by a power beater but the vacuum comes with two power attachments. One for hard floors and the other for rugs. Neither beats the rug but both rotate to help sweep the carpeting.

How long does it take to brew an entire pot? How long for one cup?
I would guess about 10 minutes for the 1/2 carafe I usually brew. A bit longer for a full carafe but the following is part of that time. Preheating and the flavor extraction process takes up some of that time, though I feel both are part of why the machine makes such a good cup of coffee. If you get really impatient you can use the drip-stop feature to pour some before the brew cycle ends. You can also have it set up with the timer to brew at a preselected time.

does the speaker have a volume control. or is the volume controlled by the sound source
You can control the volume through the buttons on top of the unit and through your BT device.
