Although the footprint is a little larger than most, it is moldable and stays in place. On sale this mount couldn't be beat. I was tired of the windshield mount always falling off in the hot sun and this item fits all of our cars.

Decided to go with the Sony over the Samsung based on price and reliability. This TV replaced a 12 yr. old Sony that was trouble free the entire time. I didn't see any noticeable difference in picture quality in the store between this one and the Samsung. My one disappointment is with the sound quality. The TV was fairly easy to set up even though there are multiple screens to go through. Be patient and you should be OK.
