I wasn't expecting much from this movie. The critics passed it over rather quickly, saying a few kind words but without a strong recommendation. The couple of people I knew who saw this said that it was "good," but never cared to say much more than that and have never brought it up again. As I sat down to watch it, I thought it looked nice but moved too fast, was a little dumb. But by the end, I was astounded. I think it's one of the best films of 2001. Sure, it's a triumph of style over substance, but I think we need a couple of good films like this every year. I love this style of films.

Consistently entertaining. The action sequences were never lacking; Cameron is awesome! Side-stories and flashbacks were interesting rather than just adding to character development. The plot came together well with time, and the finale blew me away. Other than a few episodes, I found this season well paced.

I thought at some point in my life i had seen a perfect video game to movie adaptation but boy was i wrong, sure the first two or three resident evil movies were fun to watch
but this movie takes all the great moments in the story of the game (RES4) along with the intense action scenes with the slow mo effect (capcom does that a lot), plus my favorite resident evil character, LEON. and the girl who left us hanging in resident evil 4, ADA WONG. And sure they didn't include umbrella corp, so what? Just because something was kinda their fault doesn't mean every star of resident evil should assemble and take down their head quarters, if that happened we wouldn't have the t-virus now would we.
I know a horrible movie when I see one and this is not it.

Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's wild homage to the exploitation flicks of yesteryear comes home completely uncut, and with each of its deliriously twisted "fake" trailers present and accounted for.
