If you have any interest in this game, you should just buy it. The single player portion of the game is excellent, with so much to do in the story missions as well as outside of them. The online portion of the game is vast as well, though they try to steer you into paying microtransactions to get some of the nicer items. Even still, the game is well worth the purchase.

This game is great. The visuals are great and I like the move to a more RPG feel in a large, open world. The controls are a bit to get used to if you played previous AC games but you can change them if you really dislike them. The story isn't that spectacular but the moment-to-moment gameplay is awesome, which is why I am playing this game anyway.

This game is exactly everything I was hoping it would be. The mechanics feel like Super Mario 64 from back in the day but also bring enough new things in as well to feel fresh. The cap mechanic works very well and the game does a good job of having many different environments to visually break things up and provide different uses for the cap. In short, it is a constant joy to play and it's definitely worth buying if you own a Switch.

This game looks like an episode of South Park and they did a great job of making everything feel correct. The systems in the game are easy to understand and execute and it does a good job of layering it in over time. That said, I think the game last longer than it should and would have been better served tightening it up a bit. At the end of the day though, if you like South Park, you will probably enjoy this game.

Did you like Destiny? If so, you will like this because it is largely more of the same but with numerous quality of life enhancements. The game looks good visually, controls very well, and has a nice progression with gearing up. The story is still not very good but they did a much better job with it in this game compared to the original. If you like FPS games, this is a good one to get, but if you don't or didn't enjoy the first Destiny game, you can safely pass on this one.

Mario + Rabbids is a surprisingly deep strategy game, similar to something like XCom in many ways, but with a very approachable gameplay. The game does a good job layering in the complexity and tactics you will need to use to win your battles. That said, this game is not for everyone and there will be many people who try it out that will not enjoy it at all. If the idea of a tactical battle game appeals to you though, I highly recommend giving it a try. The control outside of the battles is a little wonky as you move this Roomba-looking thing around to control your squad, but other than that the game looks and plays great.

Splatoon 2 is a really fun game. The matches are quick and different classes help to keep things fresh between matches. The game also looks great and runs really well. There are a couple things that I feel holds back the experience: 1) Not all modes are always available. Salmon Run is really fun but you can only play it when Nintendo deems it ok. 2) The ranking up can take a while, even when you are your team's MVP. It leaves the experience feeling a bit grindy.
Overall, Splatoon 2 is a very good game and is worth checking out if you are interested.
