Lets start off with the CD sounds great! Remastering aplenty.The songs are loud, crisp, clean, clear, no caffeine, all that. All the hits you know, all the hits you wish you could forget, Shakedown! We all remember that song. It doesn't need to be played again does it? The song just reminds me of a what could have been a great Eddie Murphy movie but turned out to be Beverly Hills Cop II. Oh come on, it's not that good. Anyways, if you like Bob Seger you'll like these CD's. Go ahead and buy it.

This is great for the casual fan who knows ZZ Top from what gets played on the radio. It has all the hits you know and some you might've forgotten. It's also a good way to introduce some old gems you may have never even heard of. Unfortunately it also includes some songs off the Afterburner CD which most die hard fans are turned off by. Also there's a cover of Viva Las Vegas performed in their overproduced style, it's just not for me. But overall, the good definitely out-weighs the bad, it's a good buy.

It's so small, smaaall, s-m-all...

The thing is just so small it's awesome. Pretty cool that you can have so much storage space on something so small. The only problem I see is that maybe it's too small and if you're not careful, you could lose it easily and then ten years later you find it under the refrigerator. Just keep it in a safe place and you should be all good.

remastering sounds great, but not much here

It's a classic sure, the remastered sound is great, but, for me there's not a lot here. I'm familiar with and love Paradise By The Dashboard Light and Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad. The other tracks especially the live tracks are too overblown for me. But that is probably what made this album such a big hit in 1977. So if you're a fan of the Meat, then why are even reading this? You should have this CD in your collection already. If you don't have it, buy it.
