It holds your stat's after workout on your watch so you can record your stat's in a log. GPS is good but varies a little with humidity. Elevation give different readings for high humid days and low humid days, may have something to do with cloud cover. But overall its great. Love that it has weights, workout, free run, hiking etc. Also, great timer and if I have my phone on my side it vibrates and lets me know its ringing, great for where I work in a production area.
I pick workout with timer if I'm cutting grass (push mower) but if I forget it registers as bike because my hand is stationary on the mower handle.
