The Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Stick Vacuum with Clean Station is an elegant, innovative, lightweight, versatile device that provides very effective vacuuming on carpeting, hard floors, walls, window blinds, furniture and bedding. It uniquely includes an attractive Clean Station – a compact combination dust collection and charging stand. It is surprisingly quiet, has flawless HEPA filtration and has beautifully engineered attachments.
Samsung is one of the world’s largest consumer electronic firms. It was founded in 1938 as a diversified trading company which grew to include heavy industry, chemicals, financial services and food processing. It is the largest South Korean company. A subsidiary began to focus on electronics in the late 1960s. Today Samsung is a leading manufacturer of semiconductors, cell phones, LCD panels, digital TVs, computers, tablets, audio equipment and consumer products such as kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, air conditioners and floor care products. The Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Vacuum with Clean Station is part of their exclusive Bespoke line of home appliances. These add upscale design elements to the fine quality you already expect from Samsung. The Bespoke line also has an extended warranty, reflecting the premium quality of these products.
It is packed is a large, heavy box which suggests you may be in for a long assembly operation. However, you will find that the bulk of the box is occupied by the Clean Station and lots of packing material to protect your new vacuum. The cordless vacuum parts snap together without need for any instruction and it is ready for use immediately. The Jet vacuum and Clean Station are very attractive, finished in Misty White and black plastic with gold accents, and have a very sleek, ergonomic design. The vacuum stores on the Clean Station, nicely hanging within the footprint of the free-standing Clean Station and it automatically recharged when on that unit (see photo). It is always ready for use and fully charged.
This new Samsung cordless vacuum gives you every feature you could want for home cleaning. It offers cordless convenience, power and exceptionally useful attachments. One reason that Samsung vacuums are so effective is their superb suction power. Every vacuum relies on two factors to pull in dirt: speed of airflow and suction power. Airflow is generated by the RPM of the motor and suction is created by the physical size of the fan blades attached to the motor. The very high RPM brushless motors used by Samsung create high airflow which reduces the need for large fan blades and the associated big, heavy motor found in most vacuum cleaners.
Vacuum suction power is measured in Air-Watts. The Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Vacuum has one of the highest suction rating of any cordless vacuum available. Its peak power is 210 airwatts. Lower power settings reduce suction power but extend running time. Here are the estimated suction power and running time (with the powered roller head) at each setting:
• Low power: 40 airwatts/42 minutes run time
• Medium power: 70 airwatts/24 minutes run time
• Max power: 120 airwatts/14 minutes run time
• Jet mode: 210 airwatts/8 minutes run time
For bare floors you really need only Low power. For most carpets the Medium setting is sufficient. You may want to use the Max or Jet settings only on very dirty, thick carpeting.

But suction power is only part of a vacuum’s function. Filtration is the other part. This Samsung has an amazing five stage HEPA filtration system consisting of two sizes of cyclones, a metal mesh, a washable micro filter and a fine dust filter. It removes 99.999% of microdust and allergen particles.
The power head displays a continuous readout of power level and battery time remaining. It also gives maintenance messages when appropriate.
The Samsung Bespoke Jet vacuum comes with a generous assortment of attachments including a direct drive motor/dual brush cleaning head, an extension tube which is adjustable to 20”, 23.5” or 26” inch length, a combination brush tool and a crevice tool adjustable from 12” to 18.5”. Because you can connect these tools directly to the cordless power unit they will also find great use in vacuuming your car/SUV/boat etc.
Samsung engineered clever features into these accessories. The telescoping main extension tube makes the vacuum more useful for those of different heights and makes work overhead with the non-powered attachments easier. The powered brush head has both a soft roller and a brush roller so it works very well on both bare floors and carpeting. In addition, the brush roller easily pops out for cleaning. The combination brush tool is excellent for cleaning venetian blinds while the adjustable crevice tool is long enough to reach behind any cabinet or to the top of any wall.
The Clean Station takes up only about one square foot of floorspace and is really much more convenient than a wall bracket for storing your cordless vacuum. It does an excellent job of keeping your vacuum dust-free and fully-charged. The Clean Station has its own very powerful vacuum system which will completely empty the vacuum’s dust chamber and store that material in a 2.0 liter disposable bag contained within the body of the Clean Station. You can also manually empty the vacuum’s dust chamber into a waste basket but that might reintroduce dust into your home. How long will the Clean Station bag last? The vacuum’s dust chamber is 0.5 liter and you would typically fill it about half-way on each use. With compression I would estimate that the Clean Station bag will contain the debris from at least one dozen vacuuming sessions. If you vacuum twice each week, that means you would probably replace the bag about every six to eight weeks. Seven disposable bags are included with the unit, so they should cover the first year of use.
What does this Samsung do best? Highest grades for efficiently vacuuming hard floors, upholstered furniture, window blinds, close-weave area rugs, picking up of pet hair and crumbs from the kitchen floor, clearing cobwebs from the ceiling, dust from walls, computer keyboard and other surfaces and serves as a great car vacuum. It does all of this reasonably quietly, and with great suction and maneuverability to reach into every tight corner. The unit easily switches to a handheld vacuum with a well-engineered, light-weight body, good grip handle. Its cordless feature makes it a go to anytime vacuum if a mess occurs. It is so user friendly! If you hate dragging out a heavy vacuum for the small clean ups or finding a space to fit more equipment into a crowded closet, this great Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless vacuum will solve that problem too. How? Because you store it on the slim and attractive Clean Station provided!
So how well does it clean? I found that it does an outstanding job of removing dust and debris from all hard surfaces as well as my carpeting. Because it is so light (6.25 pounds) you can easily carry it around your home and will not be worn out when you finish vacuuming. It did not scatter the bits of debris on the floor as I vacuumed and it picked up everything: dust, plant leaves, crumbs, dog food. I did not need to pick up a single thing off the floor by hand - it caught it all! And the HEPA filtration really did work – absolutely no dust was emitted from the vacuum.
Overall, you will be very impressed by the quality of the Samsung Bespoke Jet Cordless Vacuum and will appreciate its ability to thoroughly and effortlessly clean and sanitize your home. I give it five stars and a very enthusiastic recommendation!

The Philips 1200 Automatic Expresso Machine is a worthwhile addition to even the most sophisticated kitchens. It is a very attractive unit, elegantly styled in glossy black and matte black elements. The unit takes coffee beans and grinds them, then brews traditional coffee or classic espresso and, using the milk frother, can create cappuccino and lattes, all in three strengths and three sizes.
Philips Automatic Espresso machines are manufactured by Philips Saeco which is a unit of Koninklijke Philips N.V. , a $20 billion Dutch electronics, lighting and medical products company founded in 1891. Among its best-known consumer products are Norelco grooming devices, Sonicare oral health products, Magnavox & Philips audio and video products, Philips kitchen appliances and personal healthcare. Saeco, based in Bologna, Italy developed the first completely automatic espresso machines in 1985 and became a unit of Philips in 2009.

When you unbox the Philips 1200 Automatic Espresso Machine you should be very impressed by the elegant design and the quality of construction. It is a beautiful combination of glossy black and matte black surfaces, accented by chrome dispensers and features a full, but very intuitive control panel on the upper part of the front, angled slightly upward for maximum legibility. Below the control panel, on the left side of the coffee dispensers, is a classic pannarello for steam and hot water. On the right side is the slide-out 61 ounce water reservoir. Below the dispensers is a large drip tray which easily slides out for cleaning. It holds a massive 24 ounces before it must be emptied. In the center of the drip tray is a compartment for holding used coffee grounds after brewing. That container will hold the grounds for more than a dozen large cups of coffee and it is easily emptied and cleaned. Note: Although the instructions suggest that the removable plastic parts are dishwasher-safe, do not take a chance! The high temperatures of most dishwashers can easily damage or warp these parts and replacement would be very costly. A quick rinse and some light had-washing is all that is required!
To start using the espresso machine, you simply fill the water reservoir and add coffee beans to the top tray. The unit will hold 10 ounces of coffee beans and has a nice, sealing top which protects the freshness of the beans. There is also a flip-up section to allow you to add ground coffee to prepare your drinks. A nice option if you have a preference for pre-ground coffee!
Next, just press the on/off button and wait. The unit will go through a cleaning cycle and run some hot water through the lines. This takes about 60 seconds and then you can select your drink type (espresso, coffee or hot water. Once you make your selection, you can adjust the strength and quantity of your drink by pressing two adjacent controls. Then press the start button to activate the process. You will hear beans being ground in the ceramic grinder and the brew group will extract the maximum flavor from those grounds using 15 bars of steam pressure from the boiler. The liquid is dispensed through twin nozzles into a single larger cup or a pair of smaller cups. The nozzles can be raised or lowered to match the height of your cup – a handy feature if you use tall travel containers for your coffee.
How good is this super automatic espresso machine? I have a good perspective to judge it since I previously owned a classic Saeco Magic Comfort Super Automatic Espresso Machine that I purchased for over $1,600 about twenty years ago. It was widely regarded as one of the finest automatic espresso machines ever made. (See photo) As I noted above, Saeco was acquired by Philips in 2009 and its designs form the basis for all of the Philips Automatic Espresso Machines. This Philips model 1200 is clearly a direct descendant of my great Saeco machine. It has all of its features as well as the same general layout of parts. But the new Philips 1200 has been improved in many important ways.
First, the unit is more compact and takes up less counter space. It fits nicely under kitchen cabinets and the access to the bean storage is much better. The water tank arrangement is far better. One issue with automatic espresso machines is the need to refill the water reservoir frequently. The news Philips design provides a much larger reservoir and it is much more accessible for refilling it. The controls are much more intuitive and provide more flexibility in customizing the drink produced. The drip tray and the waste grounds receptacle are far better. When you use an espresso machine frequently you really appreciate every design element which enables easier maintenance. This Philips 1200 certainly gets an A+ in all of these seemingly mundane, but vitally important areas.
The quality of an espresso machine really comes down to taste of the drinks produced, consistency of output and ease of use. I give this Philips 1200 the highest marks in all of these areas. The espresso always has the thick, rich crema you expect from a good coffee house and the aroma is superb. The machine has outstanding consistency in quality, so you can expect the same fine result each time. The steam from the pannarello is strong and hot, which facilitates quickly making properly steamed milk for cappuccinos and other lattes. It is flexible, so you can put your milk container next to the coffee machine, rather than on the drip tray.
But keep in mind the old computer saying: GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out)! The quality and taste of the beans you use will be the biggest determinant in the quality of your coffee drinks. If you are not happy with the taste of your coffee or espresso, try another brand of beans or experiment with various roasts until you find one that suits your taste. The problem of bad tasting coffee/espresso will almost certainly be traced to the beans, not the fault of this fine machine!
There are only a few negatives I can note about this device. First, the water reservoir is designed to accommodate an AquaClean water filter but none is included. These cost about $35 for a pair (or you can buy a generic equivalent for about $17/pair) and its omission is hard to understand. If you trust your water source you really don’t need the filter, but it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind. Second, the instructions, while pretty thorough could certainly benefit from a nicely illustrated quick start guide. I urge you to go to the Philips website and view the videos available there (and on YouTube) which demonstrate the correct operation and maintenance of the device. Finally, while the machine does have a space designated as a cup warmer, it is really not very efficient. If you like warm cups, better to just run them under hot water for a few seconds. But these are relatively minor issues.
When you add up the superb aesthetics, the delicious taste of the coffee and espresso produced and the fine design and technology features of this appliance, the Philips 1200 Automatic Espresso Maker has certainly earned a full five stars and my strong recommendation.

When you open the box and unpack the unit you will be impressed by the solid feel and quality of construction. It has a nice ergonomic design, is lightweight and fits well in your hand. The design is attractive, with a winter white plastic body and non-slip surfaces where you hold it. It has an oval shape to match the natural curve of your hand, ensuring good control when you use it.
The unit comes fully charged. Just slide it open from the compact, closed position, fill it with water at the opening on the bottom, set the water pressure (gentle/normal/maximum clean) and insert the selected tip. Be sure to point the tip carefully into your mouth with your face pointing down into the sink or you will spray water all around your bathroom! With a little practice this becomes easy and the relatively short running time for each use (about 45 seconds) enables you to control the overspray issue.
After daily use, open the water port, remove the tip and let the unit air dry.
Since the usage is only about 45 seconds per session, one charge can last up to four weeks of daily use. If the battery is completely discharged it will take about 4 hours to fully recharge. An LED indicator on the unit indicates when a recharge is necessary. A generous 40 inch long USB-C charging cable is included with the water flosser, but you have to supply your own USB power cube/transformer.
The main body of the water flosser (which includes the rechargeable battery) is resistant to water, but not impervious, so do not immerse it in water. You can use flosser in the shower and it should not be adversely affected.
The three included tips are designed to accommodate normal teeth, crowns, implants, retainers and braces. You will want to experiment with each tip to determine which one works best for you. I found that using the water flosser before brushing was most effective. It cleared out any fine particles between my teeth and below the gum line. It also stimulated my gums very effectively. Following this with brushing and it felt like I had just had a professional cleaning.
Waterpik-sponsored research has established that the water flosser removes 99.9% of plaque. It is 50% more effective for gum health than string floss and two-to-three times more effective than string floss around implants and braces.
After use just collapse the unit and it takes up very little space on the bathroom countertop, in a drawer or on a shelf. The cordless operation is very useful in outlet-challenged bathrooms. The long battery life makes it convenient to take with you when you travel. But if it ever needs a recharge the USB-C cable can be plugged into any USB-A outlet (even your laptop!)
Given its very effective operation, compact size and cordless convenience, coupled with the quality assurance of the Waterpik name, I can give this great device a full five stars and my enthusiastic recommendation. This is a sturdy, top quality unit which will serve your oral care needs very well. You will not regret this purchase!

When you open the box and unpack the unit you will be impressed by the solid feel and quality of construction. It has a nice ergonomic design and fits well in your hand. The design is attractive, with polished black highlights and matt black non-slip surfaces where you hold it. It has a slight curve to match the natural curve of your hand, ensuring good control when you use it.
The unit comes fully charged and should operate for about 45 minutes on a full charge (which should last for a dozen trimming sessions). If the battery is completely discharged it will take 8 hours to fully recharge. An LED indicator on the unit indicates when a recharge is necessary. A generous 40 inch long USB-C charging cable and a power cube are included with the trimmer.
This trimmer has a 3/8” polished cutting head. The cutting section has dual rotary blades set at a 23 degree angle to closely trim hairs. The shape allows you to get close to the skin around the hairs you want to trim, rather than simply shortening them. You will quickly complete the trimming process and marvel at how thoroughly it has done the job.
After trimming, you can clean the head by removing it (a one-eighth counter-clockwise turn) and rinsing it under running water. The main body of the trimmer (which includes the rechargeable battery) is impervious to water, thanks to its IPX7 waterproof rating. You can actually submerge the entire unit under water for 30 minutes and it should not be adversely affected. ManScaped suggests replacing the cutting head assembly every three months. This is the only maintenance required (other than changing the battery.) Since you are probably going to use this trimmer for just a minute or two once a week, I suspect that the cutting head will last for 1-2 years before replacement is actually necessary.
I would rate this device with four stars. It is somewhat more expensive than competitive products but is certainly very solidly built, waterproof and has a rechargeable battery (which others lack). My qualms are the short (90 day) warranty and the expense of replacing the cutting head. As I noted, ManScaped suggests replacing the head every three months but I doubt that would really be necessary.
The bottom line on this sturdy, top quality little trimmer is that it is an excellent and efficient grooming tool. If you are tired of cheap, plastic-bodied trimmers that stop working after a few weeks I can recommend that you to add this wonderful device to your array of personal care equipment.

The Logitech Litra Beam is an outstanding key light which will greatly enhance the quality of your streaming videos and zoom calls. It could also be used as a desk lamp, photo light source or accent light. The stand is very sturdy and it can be positioned in a variety of ways with great height adjustment range.
My opinion on this streaming key light may be a bit biased because I just love Logitech products – they are always well engineered, are packed with great features and have always given me long and very reliable service.

Assembly of the Litra Beam is effortless and foolproof. No tools are required – the three pieces (base, support and light bar) screw together by hand. The support bar is shaped so that it can go into the weighted base in only one way and the attachment to the base is very secure. The light bar has three possible attachment points which give you great flexibility in the shape of the complete unit. And Logitech has incorporated “infinity screws” which allow you to tighten the light bar to the support without fear of stripping the threads. The support bar can be raised from its fully-closed height of 15 inches to a maximum of 25 inches. The top of the support bar pivots and rotates, allowing you to point the light bar in any direction. The USB power cable clips to the light bar, the support bar and the base, keeping it out of the way. If you want to take the Litra Beam on the road, it disassembles easily and becomes very compact. All-in-all, a very solid design and the matte-black finish is very elegant. Typical outstanding Logitech engineering!
Logitech designed the Litra Beam with beautiful ergonomic details which allow you to configure it in multiple positions to assure that it provides optimum lighting on your face during streaming sessions. The light bar has three attachment points, two at the center and one on the side. The stand extends in height from 15 inches to 25 inches, thereby capturing the likely range needed around your laptop or desktop webcam. The weighted stand insures that the light assembly will not wobble, no matter how the light bar is positioned.
Operation of the Litra Beam is very simple. Position the light bar to give illumination where needed. Plug the USB-C to USB-A power cord into a USB 3.1 e2 port or a 1.4 amp 5 volt transformer. Press the on/off button on the light bar, adjust the brightness level with a set of buttons on the light bar and adjust the color temperature of the light with another set of buttons on the light bar.
If you prefer, you can use the free Logitech G-Hub app to control the Litra Beam. That software can connect to the Litra Beam via Bluetooth. It is available for both PC and smartphone installations. The G-Hub can adjust the light level in 1% increments and the color temperature by Kelvin degrees. You can also save your settings as preset values.
The quality of the light produced by the Litra Beam is unsurpassed. It has a Color Rendering Index of 93 which is extremely high even for devices costing far more. The positioning flexibility of the light bar, coupled with the superb frameless diffuser, allows you to create nearly perfect lighting for your videos and Zoom calls. You can enhance your appearance further by adjusting the color temperature of the light across a range from 2700 degrees Kelvin (candlelight) to 6500 degrees Kelvin (bright sunlight.) The light is particularly effective in creating natural skin tones in video streaming. This is the most difficult task for LEDs and Logitech has really mastered this challenge.
The Litra Beam also functions very well as a photo light source. I used it in some still photography and was very pleased with the results.
But beyond the primary use as a key light, the Litra Beam is a superb task light. I found that it provided just the right amount of light for my desk when doing non-computer activities. It also can serve very well as an accent lamp in your home and in that role the adjustable brightness and color temperature really served well.
One wish I had for the Litra Beam was that the base could serve as a rechargeable power source. Given the modest drain of 7 watts, a built-in battery would give many hours of lighting before needing recharging. Of course, you could add your own battery power (any rechargeable battery with a USB port will work) but it would be nice to have the elegant base add that functionality.
I am delighted to give the beautifully engineered Logitech Litra Beam five stars and my full and unreserved recommendation! It is attractively priced and it is an invaluable accessory for everyone who desires a professional appearance in streaming videos and Zoom calls.

The power transformer, cable and stand are the familiar Apple Alpine White color and are UV-resistant to combat yellowing to retain their attractive appearance for many years. The connection cable is sturdy with reinforced connectors at each end and securely plugs into the bottom of the charging base. The transformer block is pretty large and may crowd the A/C duplex plug, hindering your ability to plug in another device next to it.
The stand provides a compact area to charge your Apple devices without the hassle of multiple power cords. The design allows you to glance at the iPhone and your Apple Watch while they are charging, which is convenient for those who charge their phones and watches overnight and use those devices as an alarm clock. The phone can be angled from 5 degrees off vertical to 45 degrees.
The iPhone charging pad has an integrated cooling fan (with an on/off switch on the base). The cooling fan is designed to keep the temperature of the phone down during charging, which is supposed to speed the charging process. The fan is very quiet and will not disturb even the lightest sleeper.
Be aware that the iPhone is held securely on the angled charging pad only if is in a MagSafe case (or has no case) since there is no lower support for the phone to rest upon. I tested whether a non-MagSafe case on my iPhone would be held by the charging pad magnet, but it slipped off every time.
The Apple Watch charging pad worked well and was about as efficient as the charging pad which Apple supplied with my watch.
The pad for charging AirPods is compatible with many other wireless earbuds. I used it to charge a set of Marshall Motif earbuds and it worked fine. If your earbuds accept wireless charging this pad will probably work well with them.
MagSafe charging is not as quick as direct power cable connections. Here is a comparison of the time required to recharge my iPhone 13 Pro Max from a fully depleted state to various charging levels using the Insignia 3-in-1 Charger (which supplies 15 watts to the phone pad) versus an Insignia 30 watt direct-connect charger.

Charging really slows as the battery exceeds the 85% charge level. Apple actually discourages owners from fully charging their phones each night. They recommend that you charge the battery to 80% normally.
The slower wireless charging time compared to a wired connection will probably not matter to most users who are used to recharging their phones overnight but keep it in mind if you ever need a quick recharge. It is always a good idea to have a wired charger available (and the 30 watt Insignia kit is a good, inexpensive one.)
The Insignia 3-in-1 Wireless Charger is a decent device which delivers what it promises in most respects. However, I did not see any great value from the “Turbo +” cooling fan. It did not enhance charging time and I did not feel much (if any) effect on the phone temperature during charging.
I am giving this Insignia 3-in-1 Charger four stars. I would probably give it 3.5 stars if that were possible since its fan seems (at best) marginally effective and the phone charging pad really could use a lower support to assist the magnetic connection. I can recommend it because it is competitively priced and has a nice overall design, but be aware of those caveats.

The Chromecast device, cables, power adapter and remote control are all very attractively designed. They are nicely rounded, very compact and their color is a pleasing arctic white called “Snow.” Even the included AAA batteries are a matching white color.
Set up is very easy. Simply attach the USB power cord to the included adapter, connect the USB-C end to the wireless receiver dongle and plug that dongle into an HDMI port on the TV. Then use the Google Home app on a smartphone to set up the wireless connection to your network.
The device will download firmware updates and it will be ready for use. You can then mate the remote to your TV so that it can control power, volume and (in most cases) the input switching.
The menus are very easy to navigate and seems to include all streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Disney, Apple, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount, HBO, Sling, Spotify, YouTube, etc.) plus many free services found in the Google Play app.
Connections were solid and provided a very clean data stream for all services I tested. The remote control connects to the dongle via Bluetooth so line-of-sight is not necessary and the range is at least 30 feet. You can safely expect that the device will work perfectly in most home situations, reliably covering multiple rooms.
The device is very compact and lightweight so it can be attached to any HDMI port on the TV and just hang unobtrusively behind the TV without straining the wiring. The 59” power cord is long enough to easily reach an available power source. Or, you could just plug in the USB-A end into a USB port on your TV (most TVs have a USB-A port.)
No matter how old your digital TV is, this Google Chromecast device will instantly upgrade it to the latest “smart” functionality. In fact, even if your TV has streaming functions you might find that this unit adds some important capability which you did not have (such as voice search or Google Assistant controls).
The beautiful, tiny remote gives you access to not just all of the streaming services, but also provides to the full range of Google Assistant capabilities. You can use it to control your lights, thermostat, doorbell cameras, etc. if you utilize Google Nest devices. You can also use the remote to answer questions or do quick searches using the power of Google and the breadth of YouTube to quickly find relevant material.
Given the comparable price and basic capabilities, the obvious comparison is to Amazon’s Fire Stick. But I think the Google Chromecast is superior in several aspects. First, it is undeniably more attractive. The beautiful color and shape of the remote is a pleasure to look at. Second, it probably has a broader range of apps available, due to the extensive Google Play library. Finally, because its software is based upon Google search technology, the search function is certainly superior to anything Amazon can offer.

As you can see, in less than 30 minutes you can obtain a 50% charge and in about one hour you can be over 80%. Charging really slows as the battery exceeds the 85% charge level. Apple actually discourages owners from fully charging their phones each night. They recommend that you charge the battery to 80% normally.
I also checked the charger using a Qi wireless charging pad and the results were somewhat slower, but not appreciably. If you prefer a wireless charging arrangement you will certainly see an improvement in your charging times using this Insignia 30 watt charging kit.

This brand-new Dell Inspiron Model 7710 is a superb combination of technology and functionality which will outperform almost all existing all-in-one desktop computers thanks to its incorporation of a new 12th generation Intel Core i7 processing unit, an advanced Nvidia GPU and an outstanding 27” touch screen in an elegant, ergonomic housing which will free up space on your desk.
Visually, the Dell Inspiron 7710 is a stunning design with an ultra-slim beautiful pearl white body with a thin bezel at the top and sides of the 27” screen. So how does this new all-in-one desktop perform? Superbly!
It is almost as fast as dedicated gaming laptops and but has the screen size and features which make it a go-to choice for home offices. It is beautifully engineered. The solid-state hard drive and low power needs of the CPU and GPU make fan noise almost non-existent. This is a very quiet device!
I ran two well-regarded benchmark programs (Novabench and PC Mark 10) on both it and six of my other computers to determine their relative performance. These tests measure both CPU (general processing) and GPU (graphics processing) providing a good overall measure of a computer’s speed. All comparison computers were well-maintained and had no other programs active. The four older computers were running identical Windows 10 versions while the two newer laptops and this Dell All-in-One are running Windows 11. Here are the results (higher is faster) compared to a generic desktop PC:

Novabench results indicate that a 12th generation Intel Core i7 CPU is just a bit slower than a top AMD Ryzen CPU/Radeon GPU. However, PC Mark10 results measure more features and show that the Dell Inspiron All-in-One with its Nvidia graphics processor outperform all other systems. especially if multiple heavy RAM-demanding programs were in use.
The bottom line is that this Dell All-in-One is capable of out-performing anything you currently own (except perhaps a really geeked-out special system) and it is very smooth in running any games or software you may buy. Put this elegant device to work on most business software and it will never even break a sweat. Use it for photo/video editing and it will calmly do whatever you want, no drama. And you need not hesitate to fire up a graphics-intensive game because it has the power to handle even that chore easily.
My new Dell Inspiron 7710 27” All-in-One is replacing a Dell Inspiron 24-5459 23.8” All-in-One desktop I purchased in 2016. The older machine has given me good service over the past six years but I needed an upgrade in speed. As you can see from the Novabench and PC Mark10 results the new Dell is about three times faster than its predecessor. Both units have touch screens and similar form factors but, in addition to the vast improvement in speed, you can see in my photos the wonderful evolution in aesthetics and functionality.
The new Inspiron takes up about the same desk space but has a screen 29% larger in area. It has an improved (wider) base support which allows you to slide the keyboard and mouse under it when not in use. Overall depth of the new Inspiron is actually less than the older unit because the two triangular supports are only about 8” deep compared to the 10” deep base of the older computer. Every square inch on a desktop is valuable and that reduced depth is like finding gold in your desk drawer.
The quality of the new display is outstanding, very sharp, responsive and with rich, accurate colors. Dell has introduced ComfortView Plus technology in this screen, which reduces the blue light level to alleviate eye strain. An added feature is that the display has an HDMI-in port and a switch that allows you use the display without booting up the computer. The quality of the display alone justifies the price of this all-in-one computer!
The webcam feature is also improved. It pops up from the top of the screen and is angled slightly downward to better frame the user. It has a wide dynamic range and automatic face detection. One note – be sure to peel off the protective plastic on the camera - it is easy to miss and your video will suffer if you fail to do so.
The sound system on this computer is surprisingly good. I listened to some favorite music and the speakers were much better than typical for desktops. They benefit from the Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio processing software. They are mounted below the screen, facing the user, have decent bass and volume with good stereo separation – certainly good enough for watching Netflix or YouTube videos.
The back of the computer has most of the connections, including four USB-A ports (3 3.1 and 1 3.2), the HDMI in and HDMI out connections, the 3.5 mm headphone input, an Ethernet port, SD card reader and the power cable connection. One of the USB-A ports will be taken by the wireless keyboard/mouse dongle. There is also a single USB-C port on the right side of the monitor. Here I think Dell’s design missed a vital feature in favor of clean aesthetics. User-facing ports are much more useful on desktops and there is plenty of room between the two speakers. I spend a lot of time plugging and unplugging USB flash drives and reaching the back ports is a pain. Also, USB-C ports are becoming the standard and the system should have more than one.
Other points to note: Both the WiFi 6 and the Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity are excellent. The touch response of the screen is quite good and the ability to tilt the display back by up to 25 degrees is useful. If you want to add more RAM the included service manual gives good guidance on removing the back so that larger memory cards can be substituted for the two 8 GB cards provided.
A final few comments: The Dell Inspiron 7710 does not come loaded with bloatware, just the usual McAfee free trial. When you turn it on the first time, run Windows Update several times to bring your operating system up to date. Then download the free Revo Uninstaller program and remove the McAfee software. The free, superb Windows Defender anti-virus program will automatically take over. It is constantly updated by Microsoft and does an excellent job protecting your computer.
Run the Dell Update program in that first week. It updates the system’s firmware and Dell utility programs. Two other valuable free programs are CCleaner and Advanced SystemCare. Ignore their pitches to upgrade to the paid versions - the free versions handle many maintenance tasks very well and will keep your system running fast.
When you consider all of its power and functionality, I think you will agree that the price is a bargain. I can enthusiastically recommend the new Dell Inspiron 27” 7710 All-in-One computer for both serious stay-at-home power users and for those who need to elegantly upgrade their office computers.

I am a fairly serious runner and biker and have always been annoyed by the wires connecting my earphones to my iPhone so I own and use several pairs of expensive ($200-$300) wireless earbuds. I am very picky about the fit, sound and operating features of my earbuds. Recently, I discovered that JLab has introduced a very modestly priced wireless earbud, the JBuds Air Pro, with a number of premium features which rival the performance of my top tier earbuds.
Founded in 2005 as a manufacturer of value-priced in-ear headphones, JLab Audio has become one of the best known brands of both wired premium in-ear and over-ear headphones and wireless headphones and Bluetooth earphones. Everything looks very well made and the earbuds have a special coating to protect them from scratches and moisture.
First step is to charge the ear buds in the clam shell charging case. Just attach the USB-A charging cable and LED lights will tell you when they are fully charged. The case itself serves as a supplemental battery, holding three full additional charges even when disconnected from power. Pop the earbuds back into the case for 15 minutes and you have another hour of charge. Leave them in for 90 minutes and they are fully charged again. You can do that three more times before the case itself needs recharging. I tested the claimed battery life – 9 hours and can confirm that it is accurate. One qualm I have about the case is the attached USB-A cable. It’s nice that you never have to look for a charging cable but I wonder how durable it will be over time. If it is damaged you would have to replace the charging case because it is not detachable.
The JLab JBuds Pro Air earbuds are truly wireless and fit very securely in the ear. You can customize the fit with the three supplied rubber ear tip sizes and the included cush fin to select the combination which feels most comfortable for long sessions. For me the small tip and no cush fin gave the best fit and enabled me to get the best sound quality. The Bluetooth connection just requires pressing a button on the charging/carrying case for a few seconds. The 5.1 Bluetooth specification provides a solid connection up to 30 feet from my phone, but most of the time you will have your phone just a few feet from the earbuds.
Sound quality is very good, very clear, distortion-free with excellent midrange and highs. And the bass is quite good. The JLab Sound app includes an equalizer with three pre-set sound profiles and a ten band equalizer to fine tune the sound to meet your preferences. Frankly, they sound way better than they have a right to – given that they are priced about one-third what my $200+ earbuds cost. A real bargain!
I chose these earbuds for outside activities – would they stay in? Yes!!! I took them for a long (three hour) run and never had a problem even as I worked up a good sweat in 80+ degree weather. But running is probably not the biggest test. Can you rely upon the fit while biking? The next day I went for an all-day ride over some rough roads and once again they performed perfectly. They never felt loose. I had to recharge them in the case after about 8 hours while I stopped for food but that was quick. The case is compact and unobtrusive in your pocket, but for most workouts you can rely upon the 9 hour playing time from each charge and leave the case at home.
Other features? The earbuds have nice touch controls (play, pause, skip/back track, accept/end phone calls, Siri, equalizer selection) which work well. The Be Aware function amplifies ambient sounds when desired (e.g., conversations in noisy settings). The earbuds are sealed and have an IP55 rating so even a stream of water on them will not cause damage, so have no fear about using them in the rain. (Airpods are rated only IPX4.) The very light weight (5.3 gram) of the earbuds really enhances their comfort when wearing them for long periods. No, they don’t have ANC (Automatic Noise Control) but ANC is only marginally useful in earbuds. I usually turn it off on my other earbuds which do have it because I find that it tends to muddy the sound quality.
Bottom line? If you want a solid performer at a bargain price the JLab JBuds Air Pro are an outstanding choice and win five stars plus my unqualified endorsement.

The QuickClean pod doubles as a charging stand. You just attach the charging cord to the shaver while it is resting in the QuickClean pod.

Can you hook the transmitter up to an AVR? If you can, will you lose any of the features? I have a surround sound system, but late at night I would want to use the NS7 so as not to disturb the family.
I have a 7.1.4 sound bar system that is connected to my TV through the HDMI Arc port. I added the SRS-NS7 transmitter to my TV by connecting it to the optical digital audio output and powered the transmitter at the USB port of the TV. This provides a signal to the neckband speaker which is independent of the sound bar. I can use the sound bar, the neckbad speaker or both together. If I want to minimize sound for others I just mute the sound bar and listen to just the neckband speaker. It works fine that way but even better when I listen to it and the sound bar as the same time.

What size pizza can it fit?
This is definitely not a pizza oven! Most frozen pizzas are 11 inches in diameter and "rising crust" pizzas are about 12 inches in diameter. The included "pizza pan" is only 9.2 inches interior diameter. You cannot use this air fryer to bake standard frozen pizzas.
