Conceptually a good idea, but in the long haul this movie is unable to maintain the pace of what could have been a funny concept. Maybe this is the difference between good and great. The abiliy to keep the humor going for a full length feature. Simply put "1M Ways", cannot come up with one hundreth of a million laughs.

It has the usual megalamanic Samuel L Jackson, destroy the world personna, but with a comic twist right down to his hilarious lisp. (Spoier Alert) Harry, seems to be the new JB but instead he gets killed. So now it seem Iggy must shoulder the burden. In the classic English style, right down to the back handed love inuendo, humor and violence all wrapped up into a tidy crumpet of enjoyable entertainment.

ONE OF THOSE MOVIES, THAT EXCEEDS THE TRAILERS

If you are like me you've probably wondered how pirates could exist in today's world. Moreover how could they possibley hi jack a 12 story high ship as big as an aircraft carrier. Well Captain Phillips will answer that question for you and much, much, more.
I love the docudrama feel to the movie, that gives you the perception of danger, foreboding, and the sheer magnitude of the ship and the ocean. But more importantly the realism.
The performances are right on, (academy award level) and draw you in to the crew and pirates reality. This turned into a 5 star movies which suprised me even after the awards. Go and enjoy this look at modern piracy and escape for a 2 hour cruise.

This movie features the rare combination of great acting combined with a complex and mysterious plot. It will occupy your thoughts long after you view it. The theory of relativity, and gravity combined in a alien yet so human of a story.
