The Sony - DSC-WX350 exceeded my wife's and mine expectations. The pictures are super clear at very low light and bright. Takes a little to get use to all of the options. The only draw back is in full light it is very hard to view the LCD screen so some pictures are hard to accomplish. Starts up fairly fast. The button for focusing and shooting are the same and very touchy between the two functions. The pictures are so filled with information that I could not upload one. That is how sharp they are.

Can I operate the camera from my tablet, if so, is there an app to give it the ability to do time lapse?
It is totally controlled from a computer. You log into your account and you can decide which camera to view and how you want it to operate.

Will this camera save pictures without an SD memory card?
It will do a few, but you need a memory card, the amount of information in each picture requires a large memory card if you want room for a lot of pictures.
