I loved that Harry did some of these classic songs in his own way! His style is as good, if not better, than the original songs. Harry gets some fantastic talent in with this cd and his accompaniments are superb! The instrumentals are clean and crisp and so enjoyable!
What's great about it: New takes on classics
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wasn't familiar with Joshua Bell when I got his cd. Once I put it in, though, I loved it. It's hard to find a "new" classical musician, and Joshua Bell really comes through. His music is a bit melodramatic and really sets a nice, relaxing mood.
What's great about it: Relaxing
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've never heard of Diane Birch until getting this cd. While the first track, Fire Escape, seemed slightly repetitive to me, the songs did get better as the cd went on. I really enjoyed Choo Choo and Photograph, one quite upbeat and the other really soulful and heartfelt.
What's great about it: Good combination of soul and pop
What's not so great: Nothing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I originally thought of Yanni as only for older people. I'd never really listened to his music before and was blown away by this cd. It reminded me a lot of the type of music in Cirque du Soliel - powerful orchestrations that really move you and evoke emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed this cd and am now excited to try other Yanni cds.
What's great about it: Surprisingly good
What's not so great: nothing

I wsn't sure what to expect with this cd, but was immediately brought back to my teenage years. BHB sounds slightly like the popular boy bands of the 90's, but with better songs. The music is energetic and upbeat, and I enjoy listening to it.
What's great about it: Energetic, original music
What's not so great: Some songs are slightly repetitive

I had heard of Il Divo before and seen them on television, but really had no idea what to expect when I got this cd. I like classical music, but opera isn't typically "my thing." Boy was I surprised at this cd! The music is really powerful and Il Divo's adaptations of the songs are quite wondeful. My 7.5 yr old daughter even enjoyed listening to it. While classical opera fans may have an issues with the moderness of this cd, I'd highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't given opera a chance before, as well as anyone who would enjoy hearing the rich voices of this quartet.
What's great about it: The modern music blended with the classical voices
I would recommend this to a friend!
