This is the first replacement filter I have bought for my new refrigerator, and there apparently is no substitute that fits and works correctly. I think it is too expensive if it is supposed to be replaced every six months, but what to do? I like fresh-tasting ice!

Bought this during kitchen renovations and have used for toasting and reheating so far. Nice and large, yet light enough to carry around easily. Will want to test temps before trying to bake or use rotisserie, since it takes a long time to warm pizza or just toast English muffins at recommended 425.

I did not notice that this is geared to cars with horizontal air vents, and because I was leaving on a long trip I needed to use it right away. I did get it to work somewhat, by hooking it through the vertical vents to the horizontal bar in back, but then it hangs in front of and interferes with the wiper lever on the steering column. And I couldn't disconnect it to try it somewhere else! It's a great flexible style for different size devices, however.
