I'm sure it's good quality and up to current codes and standards, but it forces the dryer to sit really far from the wall. We used the set up that was hooked to our previous dryer and will use this vent on the dryer moving to our basement since I won't care how much the dryer sticks out down there. I'm going to recommend it because it is well built, you just have to have sufficient depth in your laundry room - not always the case these days.

Yes, it gets the job done. Seems to take longer than my last dryer. I don't like not being able to adjust the heat on some of the preset cycles (my Electrolux would let me change anything, remember the change going forward, and I always had the option to reset to factory settings. I do miss that. The 'medium' setting seems to be hotter than I would expect, but even with the dryness sensing supposedly going on, I frequently have to run a timed cycle to finish the drying job. I must confess I have not tried the steam stuff yet.

Lots of function, very quiet

Pros: quiet, nice looking, large capacity, items come out clean (even large loads), best feature (at least for me as a pet owner) is the ability to rinse items in the tub area before washing. HE washers use less water which doesn't always work well for loads that need to rinse out mud or cat urine. I can do that now right at my washer before starting a load on it's merry way and I don't have to run the items thru 6 cycles to get enough water thru them.
Cons: my previous Electrolux allowed me to modify any setting on a predetermined cycle and then reset to factory if I so chose. I kinda miss that ability, although I must confess I haven't fully investigated the 'my cycle' feature, a couple of people in the family cannot reach to the bottom of the tub to take out the washed items (bonus for me as it's not a problem for this tall girl with the long arms AND it keeps others from using my washer which is just fine by me)
Cons: my previous Electrolux allowed me to modify any setting on a predetermined cycle and then reset to factory if I so chose.
