I'm noticing that this phone has only one button on the bottom, instead of the standard three. Does this significantly effect functionality?

There are three buttons on the bottom of the screen, step back, back to home screen and task key that shows all open apps.

does this tracfone let you turn it on it's side to get a bigger keyboard?

Yes, but the letters are still small.

Does this phone triple minutes

Triple minutes apply when you buy the refill cards or the service/minutes offers on the TracFone site, but not with the smart phone plan offers.
