my router is down stairs and my ps4 is upstairs. is this as easy as plugging this adapter in my room and using a ethernet cable from the adapter to my ps4 for a stronger connection?
I did not use this function on mine but I did research whether it could be used as an access point. The instructions specifically said the Ethernet jack was only used for setup when wireless setup doesn't work for some reason or as a bridge for a remote network device. Short answer is yes.
