The Nighthawk DST AC1900 increased the range of my wifi connection and allowed more devices to share my network. Even though I added more devices my network speed remained high on all devices.

I have windstream internet service delivered on phone line.'will this router work with that service ?
Yes this will work with adding service as long as the device connecting your pc to the phone line has an ethernet jack. But you will be limited to the bandwidth your internet service provides and it it is low speed 5mbps this may actually give you slower performance due to its ability to share high bandwidth to all devices connected.

Mediacom Connectivity
I currently have Mediacom as a provider. Can I attach this device to me Mediacom Router to increase performance??
Not necessarily. Too many things can cause performance issues (i.e. network card, bad modem, bad router). best bet would be to have Mediacom come out and do a performance test before modem and then at modem to see where issue lies. They may be able to fix issue without replacing any hardware. If you are just looking for better wifi performance then yes this will work.
