Even with the three-year delay, Persona 5 is one of the best jRPGs that has ever been released. Be warned, though: it is a traditional, turn-based jRPG with a slow start - similar to Persona 4 - and likely 80-100 hours. Fantastic the entire time, but be prepared for a massive time sink.

Soulless Open World Ubisoft Game

If you've played Assassin's Creed or any of the seemingly innumerable by-the-numbers open world games by Ubisoft, you've experienced 75% of Watch_Dogs already. The requisite gimmick (this time it's hacking!) amounts to barely more than a longer range USE button and the story is garbage. That said, if you're hankering for what Ubisoft puts out, it's exactly that! Also, the Spider Tank minigame is tons of fun.

Despite a long hiatus, the newest Guitar Hero comes out pretty strong, featuring a huge list of tracks and a more intricate guitar controller. The caveat to this is that the offline mode has a total of about 40 songs and the list isn't particularly strong. If you have online access, though, you get all the DLC tracks available in a Pandora-esque rotation 24 hours a day. Lots of variety and fun to play.

There's a reason Life Is Strange showed up on so many GotY nominations lists despite being fairly indie: it's superb. Everything from the time-travel mechanics to the characters is pitch-perfect for an adventure game. It's everything Telltale could be post-Walking Dead S1.

Teenage mega-idol Rise Kujikawa has returned to the city to restart her show business career. While she's home, a weird video appears on the Internet and anyone who watches it disappears, including the members of Rise's junior idol group, the Kanamin Kitchen. Great game that had a much more compelling extension to the Persona 4 narrative than P4A. Takes about 12 hours for story mode, another 4-6 for 100% completion.
The main reason I can't give it a 5 is that the track list is fairly sparse and, being a rhythm game, I know at least a couple people who wouldn't enjoy the gameplay at all.

Arkham Knight is a fitting capstone to the Rocksteady Batman trilogy marred by its insistence on forcing the mildly janky and tedious Batmobile into everything from bonus bosses to the Riddlers' newest death traps. If you are willing to put up with this mild annoyance, you'll find...an Arkham game: predator sections; combat sections; following a map to way too many Riddler trophies; servicable comic book story; cameos; etc.
