La La Land is one of the best films of 2016. Its seamless combination of music and storytelling is reminiscent of classic musicals from the 50s and 60s. The performances are top-notch and the two leads have an unmistakable chemistry together (helped by their previous on-screen romance in Crazy, Stupid, Love.) Their characters are flawed, but that's what entices the viewer to join them on this emotional journey. The score and musical numbers are absolutely memorable, even after one viewing. City of Stars and Another Day of Sun are my personal favorites, but there are many others that are, not only fantastic songs in their own right, but combined with some potentially iconic scenes in the movie, paint a picture that's difficult to forget.
The cinematography is beautiful, the choreography is stunning, and the camerawork is breathtaking. And that's what La La Land is; breathtaking. No, it's not perfect, as the film does peak towards the middle and the second half re-uses music and ideas from the first half, and personally I found there to be a couple of questionable casting choices, but those are minor nitpicks in what is otherwise a miracle production. I am very thankful that, in a world where superhero films and action blockbusters rake in the most dough, there are still producers out there willing to fund risky projects that can either fall and be forgotten, or rise and become instant classics. La La Land is fire. See it.

These films follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones but with a modern twist.
The Mummy (1999) follows Brenden Frasier and Rachel Weisz as a mercenary and archeologist that get wrapped up in uncovering a cursed mummy.
The Mummy Returns (2001) follows Frasier and Weisz and their son as the Mummy comes back to enact his revenge. This film includes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the Scorpion King, an ancient warrior that holds the power to destroy the world.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) follows Frasier and Maria Bello (a cast change from Weisz as the same character) and their now much older son as the ancient dragon emperor (Jet Li) is resurrected to bring doom upon the world.
These movies are great little adventure films with a PG-13 rating and plenty of comedy. They could be a bit scary for youngsters but decent films for pre-teens, teenagers and adults alike. The picture and sound quality of these films are good but improve with each installment. The only downside, other than the casting change, is that the second disc of special features is not included for any of the three films.

A real gem of a movie in the MCU. MCU movies nowadays all have to be fool-proof guaranteed to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. Bought this movie to rewatch 10 years later and realized we are not going to get a story as grounded (the movie took its time having Tony build and perfect the suite) as this one anymore. It really felt like Tony Stark could indeed create a suite like this in reality, and more than any other movie Tony feels the most vulnerable as a normal human being without superpowers, and it's a nice reminder of that as we watch the new fantastical MCU movies where we tend to forget that aspect of him because Iron Man is treated to be just as powerful as the most super-powered.

J. K. Rowling has released a new story line in her famous and immersive series in the Harry Potter Universe. Directed by Harry Potter veteran David Yates 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' features the adventures of Newt Scamander, who has traveled to New York City for unknown reasons. Newt is played by Eddie Redmayne of 'Les Misérables fame as a lovable but wacky collector of magical beasts making his way through the unknown dangers of New York City. Be advised, wacky hijinks await as this mesmerizing story unfolds. Newt must control his magical beasts while avoiding the political ramifications of his mishaps in the new world and navigating the magical underground. What awaits him on his quest full of conspiracy? I highly recommend you discover the answer to these questions yourself. I gave this five stars for the following reasons. First, the product was shipped and arrived within 24 hours. This was especially appreciated because my husband, a crazy Harry Potter fan, was dying to see it. Secondly, it arrived in perfect condition. The cd case was in an artistically pleasing cover. The shrink wrap was hard to remove, but a simple kitchen knife allowed it to be removed without damaging the insert casing. The Blu Ray itself was immaculate. The movie did not skip once. Thirdly, I truly enjoyed watching this movie. It was a well written story with a great plot line. The actors perform with incredible talent. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because I thought it lacked good transitions between scenes. I would definitely recommend this movie. The greatest compliment I believe a movie can get is if you would re-watch it. I am going to enjoy this movie many times and am glad that I own it.

John Hughes' classic road picture is now 26 years old, so there's a good chance that if you're under 30 you may not have seen it. See it.
The movie is more or less perfect. Tiresome complications that wreck most comedies are avoided here by a minimalist cast of two and an almost non-plot: wealthy man from Chicago who commutes to New York wants to get home in time for Thanksgiving weekend, but along the way he picks up a shower curtain ring salesman who attaches to him like a mollusk to a rock. Fast start, followed by sequence upon sequence of ever increasing levels of disaster and hilarity. Even the lulls have forward motion that advances either character or the next futile attempt to reach Chicago. No longuers. No overly long monologues from characters trying to EXPLAIN themselves, which make the Hughes teen comedies a little embarrassing to watch. This is screenwriting at its most stringent.
Martin and Candy are two sides of the same coin: Both are in "sales and marketing". Despite the surface difference between glossy magazine layouts and shower curtain rings, the men essentially have the same job, and have to travel to do it. One side is insular, deeply competitive and at odds with a hostile world that must be "got through" in order to get home; the other side is gregarious and taking in the world with open arms with hardly a thought of getting back home. Their very difference is what makes them similar to one another. The result is a buddy picture that's funnier than almost all the rest, and yet more personal because we've got to know each man's internal contradictions so well. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes of mostly farcical situations, Hughes takes the last 5 minutes to sucker-punch us with an emotional and poignant finale.
"Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" was the high point of a career that sadly withered away even before Hughes left the world too soon. John Candy left us too soon, too. But at least we can be grateful that, while they were alive, they made this funny and wonderful movie. 5 out of 5.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this product. I've always loved how thin and sleek and elegant my iPhone is, and I've always hated covering that up with a clunky case. I had a case with a compartment for my debit card and license for the longest time, and after that I got this monstrosity of a case that actually screw on a top and bottom piece with thick rubber insert. Both cases had the rubber inserts because this phone feels so delicate that I just couldn't bare to have it not in a super protective case.
But then I decided that my big bulky cases were defeating the purpose of what drew me to the iPhone in the first place. I've always had android phones until iPhone 7. The things I love most are the sleek design with the brushed gold-colored aluminum and really bring and vivid screen. I wanted to show these things off, even accent them. So I went on the lookout for a clear case.
I cam across this one. I was hesitant at first because it's really flimsy looking and thin. And it is. Its clear rubber. It snapped on very easily and looks great. It isn't loose, there is no fear of it falling off. I've had my phone for almost a couple of months now and never once dropped it, so I'm not too worried about that. Mostly this case is to prevent me from getting the really nice gold back scratched or the sides scratched, from having it in my pocket or purse (though my purse has a dedicated cellphone pocket so even that isn't a huge issue.
All in all, if you want to show off the sleek and elegant style of your iPhone, while protecting it from superficial scratch damage, and look elegant with a bit of feminine bling, this is the case for you. However, if you are prone to dropping your phone, or toss it in an open purse or bag with car keys and other stuff, or you go out a lot hiking and that kind of active thing, this case may not be for you. I don't think it is meant or intended to be a heavy duty protection, so if your phone has risk of serious injury then you would do better with a hard plastic case with the rubber insert.

I'm impressed with it. I replaced a 6-year old Samsung Blu-ray that had grown cranky about recognizing Blu-ray discs. "Unable to read this disc..." Really? Maybe the Internet rumors about the Blu-ray's laser burning out after a finite life is true.
Picture is sharp and clear to the tv; audio is great. I haven't tried 5.1 pass-through from the Netflix software yet. It nicely up-converts DVD to almost-Blu-ray quality.
I have a few minor problems with it (which may or may not be a problem for you):
The J7500 has two HDMI outputs, but only HDMI-1 carries video and audio. HDMI-2 is audio only. I can't do as I did with the last Blu-ray player: plug one HDMI into the AV Receiver, and plug the other HDMI directly into the tv.
It has an optical output (toslink), but no other video output. No Component, Composite, S-video or RF output. It makes for a nicely-bare back plate. You should have an amp or tv that is modern enough to have HDMI jacks. The 7500 does have discrete 7.1 surround audio jacks.
It's drawer-fed rather than slot-fed. I prefer slot-fed. This is a minor annoyance for me because I have the player at the top of a stack of components inside a cabinet. I have to be careful when I insert and remove the disc. (I have to lift it to put it in the tray instead of just sliding it in. I know, I'm whining, but vertical space is tight in my AV closet.) The covering door will open to a light touch, but you won't see the disc.
It doesn't have an "eject disc" button on the remote control. At least I haven't found one. (The Eject icon is on top of the player, on the right side. Odd, since every other control on the top right of the player is mirrored in the remote.) I have to walk up and kneel in front of the tv stack to insert or eject the disc.
It has a captive AC cord, not an IEC plug-and-jack. (My old Samsung Blu-ray was also like this.) Not usually a problem -- and you're sure the cord won't fall out -- unless you're alone at home trying to feed the power cable out the back of the cabinet at the same time you're trying to rotate the AV components back to their front-facing position inside a cabinet.
Now to a supremely minor quibble: The remote takes AAA batteries (included) instead of AA.
All in all, I like this Blu-ray player, and I'd buy it again.

Loved it. I'm a Nicolas Sparks fan and I love this one. I love all things c country and so it was great to see iMovie the Incorporated a lot of my favorite elements. Nicholas Sparks has a thing for old love and new love. I really like how he intertwines his stories with different sets of characters and different time periods. The chemistry may have been a little off between the main two characters, in my opinion, but Scott Eastwood is definitely easy on the eyes. :-)
