After SMALLVILLE the appearance of ARROW had a lot to look up to. But good character development and awesome action sequences made a fan of me. It gets even better in the second season.

Some people have taken the movie to task for taking liberties with one of the most famous Japanese legends. All I know is that as an entertainment it worked for me and kept my interest. I prefer 3d films that are shot in the 1:85 to 1 ratio but this film does deliver with the 2:40 to1 image.

Hopkins shines again

Amazing first feature for the director. What can one say about Anthony Hopkins ? He proves once again why he is the best actor working today. Helen Mirren matches him point for points Everyone else is excellent especially Scarlett Johansson. Hitchcock's trademark humor permeates the whole film.

A fairy tale brought vividly to life> McGregor more or less revives his Obi wan Kenobi and that is definitely not a negative. it has the merit of being rewatchable.
