Where does the stacking brackets go? I see there are chrome and steel brackets available. Are the brackets visible?

Where do the stacking brackets go? I assume on the back? I see there are chrome and steel brackets available. Are the brackets visible? I have the LG Washer WM2487HWM and dryer DLE7177WM. I see there are models KSTK1 and SSTK1 that appear to be able to be used for my models and trying to decide which is best. Thanks for the help!
The brackets go on the top back and side edges of the washer and can be seen from the sides unless yours is in a closet like ours, in which case you barely see the sides anyway.
