Not personally a fan of the art style or steampunk aesthetic, but the game is very fun. It's a strategy game with a little bit of action involved very reminiscent of games like Valkyria Chronicles.

I enjoyed my time with FFXV, I don't regret purchasing it. But in the end I can't help but feel a little let down overall. It definitely feels a bit rushed. There's "enough" content in my opinion, but it;s spread out very unevenly throughout the game. The first half of the game features a large sprawling open world with sidequests, minigames, and monster hunts. However, the second half of the game is completely linear. Small, narrow, linear corridors connected by short and messy cutscenes.
Don't let your expectations get too high, it's a pretty-good game, but nothing groundbreaking.

As someone who was never really able to enjoy games like minecraft, I was suprised to get as much enjoyment as I did out of DQB. It features the same elements of exploration/crafting/building, but does it in a more goal oriented way that keeps you feeling like you're making progress towards something.
If you DO enjoy games like minecraft, you'll feel at home with the freedom given to explore and build. But if you're not, don't pass it up! It plays out *sort* of like a traditional RPG; with npc's, dialogue, and story.
Oh and the game is gorgeous to look at! Definitely has the dragon quest charm to it.

There were several moments of frustration as I waited for my over-sized companion to realize that I wanted it to jump across a gap, dive underwater, or scale a wall. The AI can be very slow or unresponsive at times. Not in an immersion breaking way, more in a way that realistically portrays what it would be like to order around a giant animal.
"Trico" , your companion, will often times wander around curiously, or stop to scratch itself, while you're yelling commands at it in frustration. In hindsight, it actually kind of added to the experience, it made Trico feel like a real being with it's own will.
Trico's large size grants it many capabilities that will make you dependent on, such as crossing large gaps or climbing giant structures. Because you're so reliant on Trico to solve puzzles, it's unresponsiveness can tend to get a little frustrating since you'll just be waiting on it to progress at certain points.
With the bad out of the way, The Last Guardian is a very touching and emotional journey. I personally enjoyed it just as much as I did ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. The bond that you form with Trico throughout the game is something you can only truly appreciate by playing the game yourself. If you approach the game with some patience you won't regret playing it. It's an amazing game!

The last few entries in the "Tales of" series have ranged from mediocre to not-so-great. Zesteria in particular was extremely disappointing in my opinion, the world felt empty and the character's did not have clear motivations.
But now we have Berseria and it's GREAT! Definitely up there with Symphonia/Abyss/Vesperia. The world/towns are much more rich and memorable, and the cast is great.
This is what Zesteria should have been! One of the best action jrpgs to release in a long while. Don't pass it up!

This is a HD port of the psp game which never got localized. It unfortunately does not contain the online multiplayer component of the psp original but otherwise it's a competent port.
This is a spin-off of the main Final Fantasy series that has a much more action oriented combat system. There's a lot of content, including a large cast of unique playable characters. It's a lot of fun!

If you didn't like the original than you probably won't like this either. If you did like the original though, even slightly, then this is definitely worth getting. All of the issues I had regarding the original (mostly controls and repetitiveness) have been addressed in the sequel. What a gorgeous game!
