SynopsisJohn Woo's masterpiece, Hard Boiled, is considered one of the classic action films. That exciting tale starred the legendary Chow Yun-Fat as Inspector Tequila, and now you can continue his adventures in Stranglehold. Play through blockbuster-like action and get ready for a full dose of Tequila.Stranglehold combines two-fisted gunplay with classic stunts, such as swinging from chandeliers and jumping onto moving objects. The Massive D physics engine creates beautifully rendered graphics and amazing interactive game elements. Every environment is destructible, creating an ever-changing battleground with massive annihilation. Experience Tequila Time in this fast-paced, third-person shooter.

It probably sounded like a good idea on the drawing board but the game creators and designers dropped the ball on this one and the game offers nothing new or innovative. Game looks like it was released for the Wii and if it had, it probably would have played better.
What's great about it: based on good B movie
What's not so great: low end visuals, poor character designs

SynopsisDarkness casts upon the land of Hyrule, where evil lurks around every corner. The peaceful borderlands are in danger and only the powers of one man/creature can defeat such gloom. Link, a young farm boy, is destined to save the kingdom from such tragedy. After being directed by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit, Link sets off for the Twilight Realm. Upon his arrival, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. With the magical help of Midna, a mysterious being, Link is set free and off to battle against foul creatures.Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link fights his opponents on horseback with a bow and arrow. Maze-like puzzles stand between Link and the peace of the land, so wits must be sharp to discover hidden weapons and items. As you ride into combat against challenging enemies, your bravery will be tested and a new legend will be born. Use the power and unique control of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller for precise aiming, special sword attacks, shield shoves and even fishing.

This is the 1st action adventure game that I've played. Learning how to play and how the game worked took some time but was fun to learn. The visual design and sound effects were pretty good too.
What's great about it: action, puzzles
What's not so great: single player

This is one of those products that I wish that I didn't need but I have to buy. The HP ink is quality stuff for my purposes but the cartridge ink capacity doesn't let me print as many pages as I'd like for the price.
What's great about it: quality ink
What's not so great: expensive

surprising twists but slow

This is a good movie but in my opinion, the storyline carries the movie more than the characters do. With all of the high-caliber acting, it's surprising that the writers didn't churn out better material for Denzel, Jodie, and Clive. Spike does his best with the script but this movie could have been so much better.
What's great about it: changes up standard bank heist plot
What's not so great: pacing and character development not up to par

As a Resident Evil fan, although it's great to see this movie in hi-def, it's hard to recommend it because the writing and plot are so bad. Nemesis looked awful (the costume and makeup may have been state of the art in the 80s but don't hold up now) and many of the special effects were B movie quality. Milla has never been good at acting but her strength has always been looking good as an action star. Too bad that most of the cast appear to be amateurs too.
What's great about it: fantastic picture quality, Milla in action
What's not so great: story development, Nemesis in action, bad acting by most of the cast, ...

One of my favorite summer movies and one of Bay's best movies. He and Spielberg should work together more often.
ILM's Autobots and Decepticons work is incredible. The story has several slow parts which seems to be a Bay trademark but they can be easily skipped.
Too bad that this studio backed out of the Blu-ray camp for HD-DVD promotion money but they could have sold so much more with a Blu-ray disc.
What's great about it: great action and cgi
What's not so great: not enough action and cgi

The songs that are good on this album have been released as singles. Not a great followup to their previous albums.

I never saw the original cut but enjoyed this extended cut. The origins as well as the getting-used-to-powers stories were fun although the Dr Doom story was not as interesting (and the actor playing Doom was not very good).
The extras were okay but not as cool as Fox could have made them if they tried.

This is a reset of the 007 movie series and an excellent movie on its own merits. Craig is tough but sauve, the story and action work well together although the Texas Hold 'Em scenes could be shorter or re-edited, and the Aston Martin's first aid kit is as advanced as the movie gets in terms of cool gadgets.
The video quality of this Blu-ray movie is pretty amazing when the movie is viewed on a real 1080p, 1920x1080 (or better) hi-def tv/monitor. The extras are interesting but as expected, the video quality doesn't pop as much as the movie.
